Both teams come into this game at 2-0 with convincing wins thus far. Last year's regular season game didn't disappoint as the Tigers won on a 2 point conversion in OT. But the Panthers won the playoff match-up on their way to a state championship. Who wins this highly anticipated game?

I have not seen Paintsville play this year.I have seen the Panthers play their first two.At the present time the Panthers are not the powerhouse they were the last two years but the year is still young.I will not be surprised at the outcome of this game,no matter who wins.Good luck to both teams and hopefully they will be no injuries.

This is a great matchup. I remember last year's game coming down to the wire and following it here on BGP. With both of these teams being top teams in 1A this game has all of the makings for another exciting game.

I'm going with the Home team and the defending State Champs in this one. I haven't seen either team play, just going on what I am hearing.

This thread is a little bit quiet in my opinion. These two teams have played some great games the past couple years.

Yes it is... I know Pikeville fans are disappointed that they couldn't establish a run game against Letcher. They are also down because they didn't put a running clock on them.

Bac, don't know of any Pikeville fan that's down because of lack of a running clock. Everyone I've talked to are just pleased we won. The fact is, LCC was much improved compared to last season's team, especially the defense. Pikeville on the other hand, starting center was out, as well as the right guard ( three yr. starter ) returned for his first game after being injured before the seasoned started. A little rusty for sure. This is no excuse, but anyone could see the timing was off most of the game. Imo, don't think the Panthers showed much in this game. However, we should see some difference in Friday's game.

Some may be but some are concerned some. I myself was a little shocked about the game. But repeating is a lot harder than most think unless your Mayfield, Bowling Green, Trinity and etc.... It's a long brutal season and who knows what can happen. Fridya will tell us a lot and I can't wait...

Gonna be a " must see game " for sure. Still don't think we've seen the Panther's complete package just yet. Btw, good luck to the Bulldawgs in the LCC game.

Yes I am eager to hear how the game goes.. I may stay in Paintsville and watch the JC and Lex Cath game...

Same here ... Pikeville by 8.
