Disagree. If the schedule was so superior it would not be a difference of .597 to .705. The rpi accounts for wins, opponents records and their opponents records.

I will chime in on Freshmen impact from an embarrassing game. I was a freshman when Harrodsburg beat our varsity 60-0. The next 3 years Harrodsburg didn’t score a point vs the Rebels. My Senior year we beat them 27-0 and after the last TD we scored I looked at a Pioneer Defender and yelled, “Run it Up! “. It stays with you.

I would guess that almost all of Lex Cath offense came after it was a running clock. Not that either side took out their first string but by the time the Knights got any consistent offense going it was over.

Balanced offense. . Honestly when I saw the linemen for the Bearcats i knew there was no way they’d bec competitive. Huge and very slow.

Because Lex Cath had to move up and their 4A District presented closer competition than their 3A District would. Plus Lex Cath and the Rebels have a special District rivalry for the most of 30 years.

Second string played well vs MS varsity and really well vs other JV.

They obviously were not as emotionally involved but they were steely eyed machine like in performance. Madison Southern had some talent and size but Boyle played without risk and dominated.

Boyle’s speed is very good on defense. First time I have been able to attend. Lantner threw his second interception and had a couple of bad throws. Wilson Kelly is a Man. Reese Smith only played first series or so. Bartelson is a difference maker on Defense. Had an Interception. Colwick is faster Live than I noticed online. Boyle was efficient. Very hopeful for this team in the playoffs.
