  1. Most School Board Personnel matters are behind closed doors.
  2. So one administrators’ poor decision is indicative of the whole school system and football team? Wow. :ohbrother:
  3. I think there is something to be said for that, especially the coaches. Then again, this group of players have been on the big stage but have not won a title in any of their appearances. If Somerset starts strong, will that play on the minds of Mayfield's Seniors?
  4. Central gave Boyle all they could handle. The reason Boyle didn’t score in the First Quarter was because they had the ball only once and fumbled at the four. Central keeping the ball for about ten minutes and 16 plays keeps the Offense off the field.
  5. Based on this rationale, Boyle should be favored over Cov Cath since they only defeated Lex Cath by 1 point. Might put the Rebels in the running vs Lasalle. See how crazy comparisons can be? :thumb:
  6. I’m not sure I’ve seen it as blatant as last night.
  7. A couple of hours closer but Boyle has had to go to Paducah and Hopkinsville in the past. Bell has had to go to Central. It hasn’t been pure East and West since six classes.
  8. They did that on a similar play earlier on a QB sneak. It's one thing to have the big FB run you over and into the line to gain, it's another for your big lineman to grab the QB the pads and start pulling him upfield. :thumb:
  9. That's what I thought. Thanks for the citation. :thumb: I think the Rebel coaches overlooked it a few times but on the 2 point conversion that made it 24-14 they really l got into the refs then because it was so obviously blatant.
  10. Rules Question: Is it legal in High School Football to grab a ball carrier and pull him forward in order to make extra yardage and the line to gain? Central did this successfully on a few key 3rd and 4th Downs.
  11. I think you meant 45 rush attempts instead of 15.
  12. No. Rebels beat them once or twice during their Five year reign.
  13. Congrats to the Pirates!
  14. Boyle missed a lot of tackles that will spell doom next week if they happen. Central missed their QB who got hurt but the Jackets never quit.
  15. Less than 3 yds per carry. Less than that outside of the one scoring drive.
  16. They just went to it and got little. The three key receptions on Central’s opening drive hurt Boyle more than the run.
  17. Boyle responds. 7-6. Can Boyle’s Defense come up with big stops.
  18. 0-0 after one Quarter. Jackets kept the ball except for about two minutes. Boyle fumbled at the Central 8 or so.
  19. Central’s O-Line chewing up time and yards and QB hitting big time throws when needed. 1st Quarter almost gone.
  20. I agree. But Dennis Johnson was a LB. Chester Ford was 2nd if memory serves and he was a Defensive Tackle. Like you said, it is very hard to win it outside of measurable skill positions.
