Toothpick .. I have seen you try to stir the pot on two different occasions regarding Coach Rash's job being in danger .... Give it a rest. (And don't start whining about "striking a nerve" ... the only thing you are trying to do is stir up trouble). Now ... if I wanted to be a jerk ... all I have to do is say "Mayfield 2008". (And we certainly have not .. and will not have the infighting and large scale issues you guys had that year--and I am 100% certain that no one from Beechwood tried to stir up trouble with you guys). At the end of the day ... you have more clue what goes on at Beechwood than anyone up here would know about Mayfield. As far as Holmes goes ... they did a great job. I think that Coach Liggin and his staff have done an exceptional job. They are building solid momentum for their program. They may have things to work on (like everyone) ... but the constant undisciplined conversation is kind of old (because they have made huge improvements). From my point of view ... it is much harder to get kids to play hard every down as opposed to being a disciplined football team. Holmes plays very hard--and it is obvious that they are working as hard as possible to follow the instructions of their coaching staff.

Geesh, Clyde! You mean you were there ... heck ... I had our "common thread" with me this evening. Wish I would have seen you there. On a related note .... the announcer was good ... but ... wow ... I thought I was going to a football game.

Ha, ha .. I am with you there .... I know that guy a little .... and he was fun to watch. I am always interested when the C-Train come to Kentucky .... the refs over here are not used to the same type of behavior that occurs across the river! (I wish I could tell you a story about my first time at a Colerain game on the sidelines! ... No need to get banned again just yet!)

You are quite the optimistic one this evening! Ryle did their best ... have nothing to be a shamed of. My thought is that they learned plenty from this game ... as did the Cards. Many people think/thought that this was a pointless game ... I disagree. The Cards used the game to work on their passing game. Ryle did a great job of trying to shorten the game (which is VERY important in the playoffs) and their kids kept swinging. Very hard for me to believe that they did not help their program by playing this game. This is where I start to be honest .... how many Colerain TD's were called back tonight? 3 ... 4 ...? I quit counting after a while. I will be interested to watch the replay ... to see how many really should have been called back. Actually being at the game ... I will say this ... Colerain obviously spent 90% of their time working on their passing game (they spent over 75% of their offensive snaps in Empty). From my point of view ... very smart move. When Colerain decided to run the football .... they had absolutely no problems at all. This game will serve the Cards well as they make an effort to balance out the offense. L.A. is definitely an option qb ... but he has potential passing the ball. (Needs to learn when to fire them in there .. and went to put some air under the ball ... but again .. he did a great job as the night went on). The Colerain defense was pretty freaking good. The longest Ryle offensive play that I remember was 6 yards (I fully admit that I could have missed some plays). The Cards defense may not have the stars that it had last year ... but I feel like they have a chance to be better than last year's defense. They are selfless ... and they run to the football. Straight up ... I am a Colerain homer ... my nephew is a defensive starter ... and I felt like a proud uncle (and I watch him with very skeptical eyes). Geesh ... just think .. he could have been at Conner (not like I would have let that happen ... when he could have been a RED and WHITE tiger!) Good game by both teams ... I will hand it to Ryle ... they try to make games there an event .... but .... I would have a hard time going there more than once a year. Not to knock the effort ... but geesh ... its loud!

So .. the JV team won every game they played last year. Please show the correlation between being 9-0 .. and "poorly coached"? Not sure I understand that one.

Thank you for your concern .... I am sure that all of the other members will appreciate your attempt at losing any extra insight (which really isn't anything top secret or special). Also .... pretty sure you will find a boatload of coaches ... and just as many head coaches. In the future ... I will be sure to ask your permission before I post.

Wow! I fully admit that that one went right over my head! And .... I still gave the right answer!

I wish I could say that we are that organized ..... but a lot of it comes down to who is available, who can travel, who has to work the next morning (that Mayfield trip is an all-nighter). It would be safe to say that we try to get as many eyes on a "live" performance as possible. Our philosophy is simple ... our kids work extremely hard under tough conditions ... we owe our kids the same type of effort that they give.

Personally ... No. (my high water mark for the Panthers is 3 in one season). Collective efforts from our team? There have been seasons where we have scouted Frankfort more than 6 times (a lot easier drive).

The answer to both questions is the same ...... ONE for each. (Frankfort vs. Newport). Now ... let me clear the air ... unless someone can prove where I said that we scout Mayfield every week ... then we are assuming facts in evidence. Now .. I have no problem saying that I am very good at alluding to something ... for the simple fact of letting the target of the post come to their "own conclusions". Now .. have we spent a lot of time on Mayfield over the years. The most that we have ever traveled to watch Mayfield (at any location) is 6 times. And the best proof of that ... is that I have only seen 1 picture posted here! I am sure it would have been the same kind of front page news as it was last week.

Take the shots? Sorry .. I can read .. none were directed at me. I was defending a 14 year kid. AND ... I WAS DEFENDING YOUR SON FROM YOUR MISERABLE COMMENTS. Trust me ... I would have no issue saying the exact same thing to your face.

For real? Pretty sure Beechwood currently has ZERO freshman on the varsity squad. At the end of the day ... I am pretty sure he is 1 on the freshman depth chart (you know .. the team that he actually plays for) Way to take a shot at a 14 year old. I am 100% sure your son had nothing to do with making our kids cry .... it probably has more to do with the fact that they had just lost a football game that they could have won. But ... great job at using your son in such a classless manner.

If I misunderstood the "character" comments ... you have my most sincere apology. In closing .. I don't know why our fans didn't speak to the situation (even though I think I spoke to my opinion above). What I can speak to with 100% certainty .. is that no coach from Beechwood spied on Conner's practice.

I should know better ... but ... here goes ... I know who started the thread .... and based on what has been in the threads on this topic ... it was easy for me to see what happened right away. (Others are obviously not so "quick") From my point of view .. theguru was speaking about something that someone probably told him. I would be willing to bet that the thread is still open so people can discuss it. (I am sure he will weigh in). At the same time ... theguru reported both sides of the coin later on in this thread. For now .. I am glad that the posts are still open .. it gave me the opportunity to speak about the situation. *Why didn't more Beechwood people speak out about the situation .... hmmm ... I wonder. Probably because they had not heard about it happening until they read it here. Probably because our fans know better than to waste time talking about things that they do not have information about. Probably because they try to follow the rules of the board .. and don't want to speak about rumors. The right answer is ... they probably just flat out did not know either way and decided not to speculate. Then .. you question my character because I actually have something to say about it? At one point you talk about how no one defended the Beechwood staff ... and at the same time you question my character because I refuted (with factual data) these bogus claims. For real ... make up your mind ..... You can't have it both ways, hoss .... Anyone who can refute what I have said ... by all means ... speak out right now with FACTUAL DATA. So ..you keep setting them up ... and I will keep knocking them down.

AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to thank my "loyal" following for all the attention you have shown in the past 10 months ..... I could not have made this return without you! What I intend to do ... is speak to many of the blatant lies, falsehoods and half truths that many of you have obtained from "my source" .... The most recent (and probably the biggest) ... NO BEECHWOOD COACH SCOUTED A CONNER PRACTICE. For real ... are you guys serious? As previously stated ... I personally asked Coach Trosper (after the Conner/Beechwood scrimmage) which one of our coaches showed up at their practice. His response: "None that I know of, I have no idea how that started" That conversation was witnessed by at least 3 other coaches. I also asked another Conner coach about the situation (who shall remain nameless for now) his response: "Never happened". Besides the fact that this would have happened at the same time that Beechwood was having practice ... lets think about some other key points: *If Beechwood wanted to know what Conner was doing ... why wouldn't Coach Rash call Coach Trosper to talk (yes .. they are friends and share great respect for each other). *If Beechwood wanted to know what Conner was doing ... why wouldn't they watch last years film? *If Beechwood wanted to know what Conner was doing ... why wouldn't they reach out to other schools in the area for film (my guess--is that we could have had film on every game in less than 10 minutes). *If Beechwood wanted to know what Conner was doing ... why would you think that the coach in question would walk right out in the open and let himself be seen? And to touch on that subject a little more .... If Coach Trosper (or any coach for that matter) saw a Beechwood coach at their practice ... why was this coach never named? Seriously ... which one of us is responsible for spygate? Why didn't the name come out? Hmm .... I think I know the answer. The other part that was extremely funny .. is that the "spygate" coach was driving a certain type of car ... well ... that is pretty funny considering the fact that no one from the Beechwood coaching staff drives the make of the car in question. A few other falsehoods that need to be debunked: *Beechwood coaches and student athletes do not recruit players from other schools (get over it ... the school recruits its self) *Beechwood puts the same type of effort into scouting Frankfort as they do Mayfield. Frankfort is .. and will continue to be the real deal--and extremely tough to prepare for. *A certain coach was NOT kicked out of the Mayfield game last year (comments made by a distraught student athlete were originally mistakenly attributed to a coach--the situation was fixed immediately. If you don't believe that ... look to see if there is a Beechwood coach listed on the KHSAA DQ report). At the end of the day ... "Haters Gonna Hate" .... that still will not turn your lies into the truth. It is good to be back.

Current Conner fans--please learn the FACTS (fans--not the team) ... Conner played for Regional Championships in: 1993 (Lost to Cov Cath 7 to 3 ... on a slip) 1996 (Lost to Highlands by 30ish). Not sure where you guys come up with this stuff ... but there was football at Conner before the current administration.

Again ... Completely CLUELESS. Beechwood averaged 44 players for the regular season for at least the last 8 years. When the freshmen move up during the playoffs .. They add between 6 and 12 players. The rosters online may look big ... But not all of those kids move up (they are added online to ensure KHSAA eligibility). I believe that this year ... 45 will make the trip to Frankfort. But again .... Don't let the facts get in the way of a good argument!

I have bad news for you .... Beechwoods enrollment has actually DECREASED this school year. Which means that they will continue to stay in Class A. The KHSAA DOES NOT ALLOW TEAMS TO MOVE UP UNLESS THERE IS A GEOGRAPHICAL REASON. But, don't let the facts get in the way of a good public declaration of how misinformed you are.

Melvin Miles. He didn't win a championship in wrestling but came very close in track. The Shotwell brothers and Troy Cole were part of the Wrestling State Championship...and may have very well won individual championships as well. The 1993 Conner vs. Cov Cath playoff game was 7 to 3 (Due to a slip by a Conner DB on a "mysteriously wet" field with about 6 minutes left in Park Hills)
