I think Daviess County could slip into the top 10 at some point in the season, IMO

Covington Catholic dominated Ryle, Henry Clay may be better than Ryle but I think Cov Cath wins easily here also.

I don’t know much about Muhlenburg but I have to believe Logan will be a big favorite in this one.

The rankings look good to me this week. I’m not sold on Simon Kenton yet but we’ll see as the season goes.

I’m also not saying the best teams in West Virginia aren’t good. I’m saying they aren’t on the level of Trinity, St. X, or Male. Was anybody at the Johnson Central/Huntington scrimmage that has some insight of how they looked in person?

I’m surprised Trinity is favored by calpreps but it is at home so that helps. I really hope Trinity wins but I think Warren Central is the best team on Trinity’s schedule and maybe the best team in this part of the country.

I think Frederick Douglas is really good and may be able to give Scott County a run for their money. I say FD by 3+ touchdowns.

I’m afraid the Aces may start the season 0-2 but a loss to Memorial isn’t anything to be ashamed of.

I’m not saying I think Belfry is way better than Huntington. I won’t be surprised if HHS win but I’m pulling for Belfry and I think they have a good chance to win this game, or at least I did... if they’re missing multiple key players then that changes things.

Warren Central could very well end up as highly regarded as Ben Davis was last year and I think they finished in the top 10 nationally. WC is loaded and they have a tough schedule, I think T gives them a decent game but I expect WC to win. Although I hope T can pull off the upset. Good luck Rocks!

Who is Belfry missing? I didn’t know they had any players out. I know Huntington is good but WV football doesn’t compare to KY football as a whole. And I know you can’t look too much into a scrimmage but Johnson Central beat Huntington by 7 a couple weeks ago in a scrimmage.

It did sound like Trinity handed the game over to Carmel, who’s really good to be fair, so I think Trinity can possibly make a really good game out of this but I think Warren Central is just better. If Trinity wins this game I’ll be impressed to say the least.

Huntington is big and they’re usually really good but Kentucky high school football is so much better than West Virginia I think Belfry avenges last seasons loss and wins this one.

That sounds like great size. Tilghman should be able to control the line of scrimmage in most games.

And by the way Naperville Central is an 8A school, the largest class in Illinois, not 7A. It should be a good game but it’s in Louisville and I expect T to win.

I know what Trinity’s schedule is like and I think they’re better than every team on it except Carmel and Warren Central. I think they’ll beat Moaller and I lived in a Illinois a few years and I think Trinity should beat Naperville Central. I expect Trinity cleans up their game and finishes 13-2 with a 6A state championship.

Does anybody’s thoughts change after tonight? I still think Trinity is number one and Male is probably number two and then St. X, Scott County, Butler, and FD are behind them.

2A football in Kentucky must be way ahead of 2A football in Tennessee.

Campbell County is probably the best 6A team in NKY at this point. Congrats on the win.
