Wow! I'm surprised by this score

WOW! I see ya Blue Tornados!!!!

GREAT Win! Keep it up!!!

I thought going in that Tilghman was superior in the trenches. They were for the most part.

Tilghman has lots of new pieces everywhere. Lots of good pieces though. Fairly sloppy opening season game. This defense will be really good and there is lots of potential here.

I'll definitely take it to start the year.

Nice win! Does Tilghman look like a team that can beat Caldwell and win their district?

I don't think Caldwell matches up well with Tilghman at all. If not for some terrible turnovers and penalties, Tilghman wins last year easily. Tilghman controlled that whole game at the line.

Somehow, we managed to lose that one. I just think this Tilghman team is gonna be too much to handle up front in that game.

Tilghman looked good tonight. Good size and physical. Only problem I saw was their passing game. They ran a lot of wishbone and looked good doing it.

Passing game definitely has some things to work on. I think both quarterbacks bring something to the table and I would definitely move forward with both getting reps.

Nice! Love the wishbone look.

Any thoughts on the struggles with the passing game? QB issues? Receiver issues? Both?

Several guys who can be really good at receiver. Qb position just has no experience. TayShawn, the Senior Qb who started the game was a DE last season. Cam, the Sophmore backup has some upside. He played really well in JV last year. These guys just need reps, simple as that.

The transition from Coach Duncan to Coach Smith has went fairly smooth. The Qb group are the ones having to learn the most as our offense tries to evolve. These guys just don't have enough live game looks yet.

Anything you can elaborate on as far as the different strengths that Carruthers and Marshall bring to the table?

Thanks. Tilghman has always been one of my favorite teams around the state. I'm definitely glad to year they had a solid first game.

It appeared to me that QB hadn't played that position much. He looked like a good athlete just not a longtime QB. They ran a power sweep with QB keeping the ball with 2-3 blockers in front that PT used to run with Randy back in the late 80's

Carruthers is basically in there for Senior leadership. He's never been a Qb. He's big and strong, but obviously having not played the position, he's gonna struggle throwing downfield. It's a lot to ask.

Marshall started on a decent JV team last year and has a lot of tools. He can make most of the throws. He's definitley just game reps away from gaining confidence to go forward with this.

A month from now, I see both being much better, but Cam Marshall is the definite future at Qb. If this team can even be average in the passing game, it would help tremendously.
