  1. Pretty tough to do when the definition of a foul is dependent upon what colour jersey one is wearing. Kids do need experience with hostile and/or incompetent officiating, and Lord knows we have plenty of both, and it is tolerated. We used to teach our kids to take charges, but since the call is made incorrectly the majority of the time, we stopped.
  2. It is pretty consistent that officials will be biased towards teams from their own region when the opponent is out of region.
  3. Creech leading the state in scoring AND rebounding and folks want to hand POY to Boley?
  4. In general, I believe a POY coronation 10 games into the season is pre-mature. I'd prefer to keep an open mind.
  5. I grew up in upstate NY. The big sport on campus was not football, but ice hockey. I can tell you from having played and watched both sports for a long time, the collisions in hockey are much more violent that football. We are are also talking about a sport where fighting is a condoned component of the sport. Concussion Rates in Football, Hockey and Lacrosse Rising | MomsTeam http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/02/sports/hockey/02concussions.html?_r=0 Here is some data on concussion rates. The only point relevant disagrees with me some what, but there does not seem to be as much data on hockey. In addition, you also carry out sticks and skates that can be used as weapons in a moment where self control is completely gone.
  6. Profound improvement through the two holiday tournaments.
  7. Final from GATEWAY HOLIDAY CLASSIC. Niece with 33. Stamper and Meier on the all tournament team.
  8. What if Creech had the complimentary players that Boley has? Hard to compare two players that have different levels of complimentary players, and perhaps coaching as well. Creech has to do it all, Boley does not.
  9. I found this : Bulk Smooth Peanut Butter 35 lb. Tub Can you store a 35 lb tub?
  10. What is your address? I'll send you case of PB. And , btw, I challenge the rest of BGP to do the same for your or other program. Its Christmas for crying out loud!
  11. Merry Christmas! Wishing a certain young lady a healthy recovery from her stress fracture!
  12. I believe some things got ironed out in Lexington and that we can expect a significant performance bump from a key contributor.
  13. SK is fighting both injury and illness right now. Very difficult to access them right now because of player(s) fighting illness. Strictly on results and the three games I have seen, they seem vulnerable. Bench seems very young.
  14. Ison had her share, but Simpson did more damage in this one.
  15. Weird ball game. SK controlled most of the first half, consistently up by 4 - 8 points. Simpson got hot before the end of the half and the lead was cut to 1 at half. 2nd half, Walton stalls and the game was a nail biter the rest of the way. SK got bailed out with an intentional foul call with the score tied at 40, and that was essentially the key moment of the game. Neace only had 2 points and was not aggressive at all. (Sick maybe?);
  16. This is accurate. It was also perfectly reasonable by HC to foul SK, even with SK up double digits in the last 2 minutes. In the loss to Ryle, SK shot %40 from the line. With a number like that, I'd put SK on the line too!
  17. Prayers for successful sugary and a speedy recovery!
  18. Perhaps expand the list to include "honourable mentions"???? That being said, SK lost to an unranked team, they should not be ranked this week.
  19. Were we not flaming Fairview for this a couple of seasons back??????
