Think we will be jus fine this year. Our O line is still a work in progress but they will only get better as the season goes on. Overall I thought we played a pretty good game tonight.

We will see what our young line is made of Friday night. PT will play ball control and try to keep our offense off the field and if they are successful this could be a low scoring game but I don't see our defense letting that happen. They might move the chains here and there but can't see them wearing our defense down. I'm going with Mayfield making it 10 in a row now getting out of there with the W with a score of 28-10.

Glad this one is over. Only thing I can say about tonight is our defense looked sharp for most of the game. Looking forward to next week. We will see what we are made of come next Friday.

Mayfield rolls 38-7

Lots of pride and tradition runs through Mayfield! Our main goal every season is a state championship. Anything less is a failure in the kids eyes.

Murray will be tough this year! We do play them at home this year so that's a plus.

Glad to walk away with the win! Wburg has a heck of a team. QB is a great player. Another game where we capitalized on the opponents mistakes. Good teams do that. Tired of who the better team is crap. We won and that's all that matters.

Haters gonna hate! That's ok though! Out team is in Bowling Green and yours is not.

I felt like Mayfield executed their game plan and was successful. Does the Beechwood faithful feel like they executed their game plan and was successful?

lol yes the same team but our defense was lights out in that game. Graves has a top notch RB and is up at the top with the best RB's in the state. Graves has ran the wing t for years and they have found success by opening it up and running the spread.

What about non district games? I'm not knocking Wburg at all. Jus wondering how tough the competition was.

I did see that Wburg is the only undefeated team in all classes in the finals. Was curious of how tough a schedule they have played to prepare them for a state title. If all opponents they played were under .500 then I'm not sure the competition was very stiff.

Who was Wburgs toughest opponent in the regular season?

We don't need excuses. We got beat plain and simple. At least we played for a championship and that's what matters. Win or lose we made it and now this will be our 6th straight appearance. GO CARDINALS!!!!

I still think it comes down to coaching and executing. Mayfield clearly won that battle last night. Mayfield bent last night but did not break. When Beechwood put points on the board we countered and answered right back. I thought Beechwood had a very good team but we were still better. I wish this series between the two would continue because I enjoy watching these teams go at it. I have always thought in all previous games that Mayfield has won the battle in the trenches which in IMO was the reason we had won those ball games. Beechwood clearly won the line play last night but it wasn't the difference maker. We made the big plays and they didn't. That shows you that we are a good football team. The only way I thought Beechwood would beat us was to pass the ball more. Their QB looked very good to me and thought they had the offense to do that but chose to rely on the run more. Beechwood stopped our run so we went to the air and it was effective. Again I thought our coaching staff did a great job last night and our boys executed!!!!

Cardinals take the hardware again against Wburg! Maybe the score won't be as bad as last year but we win. We are playing really good football right now and I think we will be hard to beat.

Congrats Cardinals for bending but not breaking! Beechwood was as advertised. Very good football team and if a few more plays went their way the outcome could have been different. I thought Beechwoods line was excellent tonight! Like gobigred said they were the only team to shut down our run game this season. I thought our 2 goal line stops were huge!!!
