Are the programs really down?
anyone want to revisit this one month into the season? It appears ND is above the rest of NKY by a mile and it doesn't look like anyone else is catching up.

Scott's September slam tournament
It's amusing that you think Assumption, Sacred Heart, and Mercy don't have to work hard because they are so full of talent. Have you ever seen any of these teams play? On a team like Assumption, where girls on the bench get D1 scholarships, do you think a coach like Ron puts up with anything less than 100% effort? He doesn't have to. He's got another starting team on the bench. If you don't bust your butt you are out in a heartbeat. Did you ever consider that the volleyball powers are good because they actually work harder, all year long, than everyone else?

Scott High School vs. Conner High School
I'd buy that. It's not a stretch to see the 33rd sending Ryle and Conner to Regionals.
-
Villa Madonna 3 Dixie Heights 2
Are you saying Dixie's problems get fixed this year, or some time in the future? Dixie is 2-10 so far with the people you mentioned and the season is rapidly heading south. I look at the upcoming schedule and I wonder where the wins are going to come from.

2015 LIVT Seeding
It's Ron's tourney, in his building, so of course it's going to be seeded to have Assumption vs Sacred Heart in finals - it generates the most $$$. I predict a school from KY wins it.
-
Villa Madonna 3 Dixie Heights 2
And 1-5 the 4 years before that. I'm taking a Macro view.
-
Conner 3 Cooper 1
25-11, 21-25, 25-18, 25-20. How good is Conner? And what is going on at Cooper?
-
Villa Madonna 3 Dixie Heights 2
21-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-9, 15-13. Villa has beaten Dixie more than a couple of times over the last few years so this isn't a total surprise, but for a Dixie program that many posted was on the upswing and rebuilding, that's a bad loss. Dixie falls to 2-10.

Scott's September slam tournament
What does that mean? Hardest ever? Hardest you've seen? Do u think Assumption, Mercy, and Sacred Heart work hard on every point? Looked it up. They were never in the match vs ND. Played them twice and it wasn't close. If you are selling me that BW is the hardest working team in volleyball, I'm not buying it. If you are saying they are getting the most out of what they have, I may buy that.

Scott High School vs. Conner High School
What does "make some real noise" mean?

Are the Big 4 more bunched together than ever?
Sacred Heart d Mercy 3-1 Sacred Heart d Assumption 3-1 ND d Sacred Heart 3-2 (only loss) Mercy d ND 3-2 (only loss) Mercy and Assumption both have additional losses (Asssumption's was to #1 in nation) This is one crazy year. Is there a clear-cut #1 yet? Will there be? Were the KY coaches actually psychic and correct dropping ND to #4 in the latest poll before they lost?

Mercy (KY) at Notre Dame (KY) 9/3 predictions
With Assumption losing to Sacred Heart last night, does a ND win in Park Hills tonight against Mercy, last year's State Champ, put ND at #1 in KY? Where do you rank the "Big 4" after tonight?

NKY Power Players
The term "power player" can mean a lot of things. I assume you mean the best players, not the hardest hitters. Volleyball is so much more than hitting. ND: Hentz, Salkowski, Talkers. Plus Colvin and Saelinger for back row and serving. They would be on everyone's list if they played at a different school. NCC: McDonald Cooper: Smith Beechwood: Pawsat, Ogle Ryle: Bush, Barber, Legg Scott: Franxman and Tapp St. Henry: ? There's probably some ND JV players that should be on this list too. I'm betting ND's JV would defeat most Varsity teams in the state.

Notre Dame keeps rolling
Sad but true. NKY coaches should be doing their part, and doing the right thing.
-
Bracken County 2 Saint Patrick 0 (25-19, 25-19)
Wonder why? The KHSAA app won't let you submit scores anymore like last season - you have to call.
-
Campbell County 2 Harrison County 0
25-16, 25-6
-
St. Henry 3 Bishop Brossart 1
final.
-
Bracken County 2 Saint Patrick 0 (25-19, 25-19)
What was the Bracken/Brossart All-A score? Not reported to KHSAA

Notre Dame keeps rolling
Here's link NDA's schedule As was posted in another thread, if you are committed to "your" school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and don't want to drive to Louisville or Chicago, there are 2 dates coming up not on a Tues or Thurs to see the machine known as NDA, and the best all-around player ever from NKY Wed Sept 16 at Simon Kenton Mon Sept 21 vs Campbell County at ND
-
St Henry 4 Bishop Brossart 2
I would've gone with St. Ursula or Ursuline Academy for an Ohio school winning the Kentucky 9th Region.
-
Campbell County 1 Highlands 0
Highlands falls to 2-2
-
Notre Dame Academy 3 Cardinal Gibbons (NC) 0
There's actually a whole BGP thread on Cardinal Gibbons and North Carolina's private/public debate, which is probably coming soon to KY since KHSAA won't go to multiple classes. LINK
-
Notre Dame Academy 3 Cardinal Gibbons (NC) 0
Here's what I am able to piece together from Twitter and BGP posts regarding the Pandas this week: Today, ND won 25-20, 26-24, 25-15 over Cardinal Gibbons from Raleigh, NC in a game at Mercy Academy in Louisville. Cardinal Gibbons has won the last 6 straight NC 3A State Championships (the largest class in NC) and is ranked #14 in nation by prepvolleyball.com ND also defeated Mt. Notre Dame this week - the defending Ohio State Champ (also the largest class). MND is ranked #16 by prepvolleyball. and ND beat Sacred Heart at Sacred Heart this week. SHA is ranked #17 by prepvolleyball. The Pandas are ranked #2 9 by prepvolleyball. ND actually dropped in this weeks' Kentucky State Coaches poll from #2 to #4 . For those of you, like me, who would like to see this juggernaut in action while we can, but have your own games to attend, I did notice 2 dates coming up on the ND schedule that aren't on a Tuesday/Thursday: Wed Sept 16 at Simon Kenton Mon Sept 21 vs Campbell County at ND

KHSAA committed to 1 class for Volleyball
Sorry small schools, public schools, rural schools... you won't be winning a volleyball state championship anytime soon. "The Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s Board of Control on Monday reaffirmed its commitment to a single-class playoff system in the sports of baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball."
