Tilghman is in 3A and will battle Caldwell County for the district. With the emergence of Elizabethtown region 1 looks like a three horse race. Adair Co. and Union Co. have quality teams but would be considered low percent to make it out. It appears Boyle Co. is the favorite in region 2 with LexCatholic and Central lurking in the shadows. A trip to the semifinals might be the pinnacle for PT. I believe Boyle would be too much for them but they could hang with the other two on a good night. Beyond that, I feel Belfry would be too much and not sure about Corbin or Russell. Hope this gives you a better feel and lets you draw your own conclusion of contender.

I agree, approximately 375 total yds for Mayfield to 150 for PT. Summary, 3 to 3 on turnovers but Mayfield's seemed to be more costly. Two of them directly led to PT's only scores after recovering inside the Mayfield 10 and 15 yard lines. The other prevented a Mayfield TD after Bright fumbled at the 4 or 5 on what looked to be a sure TD drive. PT had a garbage time fumble late. Mayfield had two possessions destroyed by self inflicted penalties but PT seemed to really hurt themselves more with costly penalties throughout the game. Several extended Mayfield drives. PT really only had one good drive. Other potential drives were thwarted by flags, and can guess they had well over 100 yards in penalties.

I'm by no means the grammar/spelling expert, but would someone please explain the difference between "lose" and "loose". It's not a typo, it is repeated in several post dating back to last season. I cringe each time I see it, and frankly it is like taking a rear end chewing from someone with a kool-aid mustache. You just "loose" all seriousness and validity. Sorry in advance, I couldn't resist.

Great job Bombers!! Marshall County football is officially dead. They should never lose to Ballard Memorial, especially in a BMHS down year, and at home.

Pre game show stated QB Miles (ankle) and ATH Britt (concussion?) did not play for Murray. Makes a huge difference but not that huge. Nice win Eagles!! Rest and regroup Tigers. I saw the Eagles' first game against Hoptown and felt the offense would be just fine this year. The defense was concerning (seemed slow) and will still need to improve throughout the season (understandably since they lost a ton to graduation). Dakota Dixon is another impressive RB for Graves. He's no road grader like Crider but breaks just as many tackles and appears quite a bit faster. Glad to see the Graves Co. kids building off last season's historical year.

Etown win = not shocked. Etown domination = shocked. Congrats on a very impressive win (assuming NO did not graduate the house). I see Caldwell Co. and Etown as being 1-2 in the far west.

Nice job Bulldogs!! City has a couple of fine looking athletes. Wish both schools' numbers weren't so small.

Go ask your school officials to drop them from the Mayfield schedule and you'll get your answer. BTW, the mere fact the two schools dispute the series record says it all:D Congrats to the Cardinals!

Laughable!! Why even have a preseason poll? It's a poll for the upcoming season's teams and players (hence "preseason"). With your rational, one can just look at the past season's standings/rankings and deduct this is how the teams will be predicted to finish, again. DeSales has a great team, Mayfield has a great team - hope to see them play.

If I recall, DeSales clutch play was when the officials imposed the wrong penalty on a correct call. Erased a Murray TD, but should have been assessed on the PAT or kickoff. This is not a discredit to DeSales but one of their fans on here seems to think there is not much in WKY.
