Owensboro 27 North Oldham 24
OH MY!! That play was much like the LSU at UK several years back. Ball deflected over the def to a Oboro receiver. Great game!! Congrats Oboro and I feel for the North Oldham players and fans. Heartbreak city.

Trinity at Meade County Semi-State: Who wins and Why?
Ha ha yes sir, but we were the home dog and BG was 21 point favorite. Sorry, wasn't an attempt to put salt in a wound. Hey, Graves got this whole thing rolling with a win at McCracken. We have great respect for the Purples! All that aside, I looked back and I think I took your comment wrong about the Trinity/Meade game. I thought you were saying "win here and you win state". Looks like "win special teams and you win the game"?

Trinity at Meade County Semi-State: Who wins and Why?
Does this mean you think Meade is also on another level of football?

Trinity at Meade County Semi-State: Who wins and Why?
Good thing they play the games.............said Graves County.

Trinity at Meade County Semi-State: Who wins and Why?
Good thing they aren't playing Male, huh? I would expect Meade County to have confidence....current state runner-up, and have beaten 3 very solid teams to win Region 2 (two on the road).

Meade County vs. Central Hardin predictions
I think either of these teams could win it all.

Graves County vs Bowling Green Playoff Predictions Week 3
You actually sounded like you knew what you were talking about until this statement. McCracken had 6 turnovers and 20+ penalties (2 erased TD's) and 14 of Graves points came on pick 6's. Guess it was so "easy" would be the reason they aren't scheduling this game next year.

McCracken County football coach Jack Haskins Retires
1.) Allowing freshmen to play JV over soph & juniors (varsity subs) does not promote depth. They end up quitting. 2.) Credit goes to Coach White (freshmen) for the schedule. As well as the varsity game against Southaven, MS.

Manual 35 McCracken County 20
villecoach, the Mustang fan base wouldn't be shocked if this was true. The majority of fans have not been happy with his style of play calling. We definitely wouldn't be happy if he made such a statement. Good luck this week Crimsons!!

McCracken County/Manual Predictions
How do you think Manual would've finished in the district if Nero was available? Especially since the games against Trinity and Male were close. He must be exciting to watch from what I hear about him.

1A Playoff Preview - Could there be a Beast from the East?
Enjoying all the post. Just love how awesome 1A football is this year! Would love to see some of those teams from the east. Can't say enough about how much I admire the job Joe Morris and staff do at Mayfield. As a McCracken fan I was disappointed how they came out strong against Mayfield then let them back in the game. I was evaluating the game afterward and thought our players/coaches just don't know how to put a game away against a good opponent. Now, after seeing the MHS/Caldwell game, I went back and thought more about it all. I give credit to coach Morris and staff on the adjustments they make, and it was more about that than McCracken having a let up. It never ceases to amaze me how well they adjust to their opponent. I've had cousins that played at Mayfield all the way back to the Jack Morris days. Do I dare say Joe has matched his father as a coach? Good luck Cardinals!!

Contrasting styles by personel, mentality, and player characteristics. Better?

McCracken County/Manual Predictions
I agree, would love to see Morgan back on both sides. The secondary is good against the pass so adding him is a bonus. Morgan had 2 interceptions at PT then got hurt the next week against Mayfied. McCracken ended the season with 23 int's with 4 of them pick6. I don't think Manual relies on the deep pass, so I think Tyce Daniel could be pivotal. Especially if they use a more conservative passing game on the perimeter. If so, the DB's need to be ready to adjust and not play off the ball so much like they did against Henderson. I'd rather the Mustangs risk giving up a big play then to see Manual throw for easy wide open 6 yards every pass.

Thanks villecoach, I can see that differently after reading it again.:ohbrother:

McCracken County/Manual Predictions
Not sure who warranted the above statement. Maybe some don't understand the McCracken County fans and what they understand. We kept up with 6A football while watching 2A,3A, and 4A at the respective county schools. What's so hard to understand when they call it the SuperDistrict?

McCracken County/Manual Predictions
Going to be a good game but McCracken would lose 19 out 20? Sounds like you are saying Manual will kill McCracken up front and move the ball, Ram says Manual is an AirRaid offense, and apparently all the intangibles will be in favor of Manual too. Because a matchup producing a "good game" winning "19 out 20" would be unprobable for either team. Sounds like you would consider this the upset of the year if McCracken could pull it out.

McCracken County/Manual Predictions
Air Raid? So they threw for 471 on Male because they couldn't run on them (-28). I agree that's outstanding on the #1 team in the state but other than that they had one game over 200 yards against PRP. Most the other games were in the 85-120 range. Manual per game averages (rush 149 pass 157) looks like a balanced offense to me. I don't think 157 ypg would be in the top 5. I'm more impressed statistically by their yards allowed. Very impressed.

Upsets
Add D2#3 Greenwood at D1#2 Hopkinsville which would only be an upset by seeding. Looks to be one of the best matchups in the first round due to their close rankings and differing style of play.
