Travelers have certainly re stacked the talent. From tweets I've seen from coaches associated with the Travelers and players they will have Weyer Broughton Williams Beverly Rice Reed Vogt Hollowell Von Handorff Lovan Wilson Goodin

TBC Elite is usually a competitive group. I think this will be their last year together though as I think they made the vow with their core players when they started as a 13U team that they would only do it for 4 years, and this would be it as 17U. I'll try to get a schedule and roster from my buddy though. Anyone else have rosters for the other teams mentioned?

Overall it sounds as though Pig Williams didn't back down. Kudos to him. Like many have said, "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen!" Mason Co took what Holmes is usually good at (getting in peoples heads) and flipped the script on them.

After watching Holmes vs Scott in the Lloyd Memorial tournament championship game I can say that's not a given. Sitting behind Holmes bench with a buddy we heard some pretty vulgar things being said not only by Holmes players to Scott players, but also Holmes coaching staff including Listerman saying vulgar things toward Scott players as well. Refs let them play and talk until what looked like a Holmes player and Scott's head coach going back and forth. But things had gotten out of hand from the control aspect of the ref's squashing it until then.

UK does the same thing, yet no one says anything about Coach Cal? I'll take Chris O'Hearns class over some of the things I've seen Holmes exhibit over the years any day of the week.

Actually went to this one last night. Scott starters played till about midway through the 2nd quarter in which they were then benched. Second five came in and actually played a lot tougher and with more effort, but seemed to be limited on offense. Second five started the 3rd quarter and played throughout until beginning of 4th quarter. Scott starters came back in and gave up a 6-0 run in which they were then pulled again. Wasn't sure of final score as I left after that, but Carr seemed to be coaching up his second unit and praising them for their effort. Used his timeouts, and seemed calm on the sidelines. Scott needs to throw that one away and get ready for the big one Friday against Campbell County at the Bank of Kentucky Center.

Coach O'Hearn may be nervous because of the last two years, but Coach Hinson will be more nervous. It will be a close game no matter what, but the Royal's wont have a problem with the Bach-Less Panthers this year. Royals by 10+ on their homecourt would be my prediction.

And it's IMO that players now days are expected to be handed a lot of things, instead of earned. The problem with our younger generation and society as a whole is simple: soft. With Coach Biggs it's always been what you're given is always earned. He had a ton of talent at Pendleton Co in mid 2000's, but those kids were tough as nails. I made no reference to football, or soccer though. But from the football forum in the fall though I would say they had their fair share of issues.

Ashland is without their two best players/scoring options. You would think they have enough depth to overcome it, but that's not the case. I have a lot of respect for Coach Biggs. Unfortunately kids can't be coached like they were 5-10 years ago. Everything is seen as "too hard" on kids in a day and age where they are handed a lot.

KHSAA website didn't have Holmes listed in the bracket anymore. Is that still the case, or just a mistake?
