My guess is NewCath is overrated & Holmes underrated.

My guess is that many 9th & 10th Region, particularly 37th District, schools use the same pool of refs during the regular season. Same reason 6th & 7th Region refs don't do the other I suspect.

She was the best all-around female athlete I've ever seen. All-state in hoops, softball & volleyball (Turned ND down for this.). Saw her backhand a ground ball in the hole at SS & throw the runner out from her knees.

I agree. Good count. But C Cty is physically split between the 9th & 10th Regions by public school districts. BKA is in the 10th Region part of C Cty: The Campbell County & Silver Grove school districts. I now wonder which region the Southgate School District is in. :wave:

What's interesting about the BKA to me is that it's not even in the 9th Region. It's in the Campbell County Schools District which plays in the 10th Region.

Didn't read the entire thread, but the killer to me was CC's run outs after D rebounds. Their bigs got 4 uncontested layups by running past NCC's bigs down the floor. In fact, between those, drives, & putbacks, I'd confident CC got more points inside 3' of the hoop than NCC did. I don't think anyone would have expected that. And that doesn't count the FT's made disparity.

I'm a Breds fan, but having seen CovCath play twice including the half game with NCC, I have a hard time calling NCC the favorite. Ruthsatz' penetration ability, their overall outside shooting, quickness, & depth counter NCC's superior inside game such that the outcome is 50/50 to me.

It's not even that's it's a jump shot, but that he takes the ball just inside the top of the key & dribbles up to the line before shooting. Don't recall seeing that before.

Jack Gruenschlaeger has a baby brother that's quite large. Not sure this is him though. I don't think he's that old.
