I just saw on twitter that Drew McDonald won state today. Congratulations! Has any other individual ever won the All "A" State from Northern Ky?

Wow, "All A" state champion in golf and "All A" MVP for basketball. That's an odd combo. I'll bet that hasn't happened before.

When Deron Feldhaus was a senior at Mason County back in the day, I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that he was Mr. Basketball runner-up and runner-up in the state golf tournament.

 

That could just be a Maysville urban legend, though.

Congratulations to Senior Drew McDonald who won the All "A" State Golf Championship held this weekend at Eagle's Nest Country Club in Somerset. Drew shot 1 under par for a 70 -- first time a player from Northern Kentucky won the All "A" State Golf Tournament. He edged Chase Landrum of Glasgow by one stroke.

 

I'll bet he's the first one wearing size 16 shoes to win.

The kid can dial, he launches the ball off the tee, sounds like a fighter jet going over your head. Drew has a soft touch on his short game. The sky is the limit if wants to go forward at the next level.
