I would love to see my senior play one more time but it really is unnecessary. He had a great year and high school career, on to the next chapter.

Like the 1st game, this should come down to who wins the trenches. It should be closer than the last time but I think Ryle still has the edge.

Probably better just to take the district champs and seed them by the RPI.

They should address the RPI formula before doing a 16-team bracket based on that. Out of state games are not exactly counted correctly currently.

The sports themselves are not causing a spread of the virus. Travel does, irresponsible actions do but not anything truly organized is causing spread. We need to all take a breath and realize that yes this virus is serious but it may not even be the most serious one that any of us have encountered.

I get concerns for spread but as long as protocols are followed, sports events could be the safest place to be at.

Regardless, as long as everyone follows protocols, the playoffs can and should happen.

Hopefully this is a go. Boone County is currently red but barely so. Conner hasn't gotten to play much so they deserve this game.

Ryle pulled all their starters early in the 4th quarter. Good move by the staff, don't need any unnecessary injuries and letting up shows good will.

The contrasting turf every 5 yards is a good look. The Raider head at Ryle is nice, I thought they might go with a Pirate Ship since the buzz phrase is Burn The Ships these days.

This is usually a war, it will be no different this year.

I haven't seen a Boone County or Ryle mock-up yet.

I think the threshold for the color changes is a little low anyway. I have also read articles disputing high school sports being a spreader.

Isn't Kenton County Red now as well?

Could this be the last game in Kenton County for either of these schools this season? Kenton County Covid cases are the worst in NKY and they may be Red by next week.

I would guess that no playoffs will happen this year.

True, I get that but as long as we follow protocols, high school sports aren't the great spreader that was feared at the beginning. You are probably more likely to get it at the grocery store than at sporting events.

What makes a county red is a little misleading. I know Covid is serious but 25/100,000 is 0.025% positivity. That seems a little low. As long as people are following the protocols, you should be able to play.
