Is Belfry a good game for Newport Central Catholic?
NO.

No Helmets till July 22
Over the last decade, there have been multiple decisions made that were contradictory of what were voted on in advisury meetings and association votings. The whole idea of coaches having a voice is a joke. Everyone knows that , until superintendants across the state take a more active role and support the coaches assoc, then all this is moot. I find it funny that people actually believe the khsaa propoganda that coaches influence policy. Basically the khsaa only support a coaches suggestion, if that goes withwhat they have already decided.

Coaches Association has no authority in such matters. That is strictly a false perception that is put out their by the powers that are autonomous. (DPE, KHSAA, backed by KMA)

Boyle County 72 Southwestern 67 (OT)
Perrin was around 6'6" or so. Two totally different players. We should all be so lucky to have the college career that Perrin had. If Hagen does that well, then he will be incredibly blessed.

Speed is always relevant in all sports, but the lower you get MS, Youth league etc, the more relevant it gets. Its amazing how the same little speed guys that dominate in youth levels find it much more difficult as the other players mature.

Beau Hoge Role At BYU
Not at all. Saw this cat at state finals as well as 3 or 4 BYU games on tv this year. There going to put some more size on him and not throw him to the wolves like some we know. If they are going to run the offense like they have the last few years I can see their interest in Mr. Hoge as a qb.

How many yards did Mercer throw for this year? Just curious

Beau Hoge Role At BYU
Very good player. With that said I would expect him to be holding a clipboard and charting plays during the games next year.

#1. Harp stepped into a hornets nest with 7 kids on his roster in his 1st yr and was not given the leeway you suggest. 2. You have to have athletes to win and they have to be coached (you dont just send them out and win at a high level. 3. there was a big drop in over all talent from 1994 to 2006 if you look at it objectively and still danville pulls in 3 more titles and 3 ru. From 2006 to present it has dropped even more, still danville reaches semis in 2010 with an avg group. 4. There is no one to blame as insenuated over and over. 5.Clay doesnt need excuses or this or that from the past. 6. If there are kids that are going to turn this around they must be in elem school because I dont see them at the MS and HS. "There not in the halls at this time" Make do with what you have" and face the facts

I think that this is the 2nd HC at mercer to defect to Boyle as an asst in the last 5 or 6 years. How ironic:popcorn:

Breaking News: Boyle County's Coach Mason leaves the coaching staff
I cant believe the Harrodsburg Herald beat LV to a scoop. Good Luck to Coach Pardue at BC and to Mercer on finding their umpteenth coach since Jaggers resigned.

Harp had 4 sale signs in his yard after coaching 3 games at danville, what is the criteria now. :deadhorse: Clay can stand on his own......dont you think its time to just face the facts.

What it takes to be a great basketball player.
I would agree that athletically Larry Bird was challenged to say the least. But I would have to say that he was very skilled (shooting, passing, dribbling, and ability to catch the ball). Otherwise, thru hard work he developed a great imagination of what he could do with the ball and made it real. It also helped being 6'9"
