  1. I dont care what they wear ( short of a Speedo maybe) as long as they are teaching the kids the fundamentals of the game and are upstanding people.
  2. Congrats to Taylor and her family! BC- now you can relax and enjoy! Lol
  3. All I can say is wow...never thought I would see someone come on here and attempt to humiliate a 17 yr old kid by calling them out by name on their ability or performance, especially didn't expect it from someone who claims to be a supporter of team the kid plays for. I hope you're proud of yourself. (I'll toss you into this too Watchmen). You both claim to be great supporters of SK. Very adult like to run Harmeyer through the mud, and your timing is impeccable, as she is already hurting about the outcome this past weekend. You say these things all the while claiming to be supporters of the team she plays for. But you know I don't remember either of you posting a congratulation to her for scoring her 1000th Varsity point this season as a junior, scoring 7 3's once last season and twice this season, having a monster tournament at Motgomery Co. over the holidays, being the leading scorer during the regional tourney run, being named to the All 8th region team. I don't remember one time you gave her any love, you know being the staunch supporters you both are of the program. But your are right on que to trash her given the chance. Do I have daddy goggles on? In this case, yes I do..most everyone on here knows who I am and could care less. Because you see I don't have to hide behind a username. I don't have any hidden agendas. I don't trash young athletes and then duck behind a cloak of anonymity. As her parent I'm the first to admit Shelby needs to work on her defense. But I really don't understand what satisfaction you gain by trying to humiliate a kid, whether it's mine or anyone else's. At first I really thought I'd like to find out both of your identities, but I'm sure that would probably hurt more than not knowing who you are because you both at some point have probably shook my hand and told me what good player my daughter is. I guess we will see if others feel the same way you do this fall on signing day.
  4. So what you're saying is SK knew Holy Cross was going to win state 2 yrs ago and opted out of playing them? And also are you insinuating SK won't play anyone? Have you looked at their schedule the last 2 years? Butler, Manual, Sacred Heart(twice), Murray, Boyd and Franklin, Mason, Campbell, Etown and Montini Catholic who is ranked top 50 in the nation. And that's just this season. Then throw in Mercer, Etown, Lincoln, Mason, and Campbell last season. I find it hard to believe they would be ducking anyone. Hopefully SK/Holmes will will make it thru districts and regionals, and thru the first 2 rounds of the state and meet in the quarter finals. I would love to see it! Also Holy Cross was scheduled that season and the game was snowed out and then HC decided not to reschedule.. You might want to go back on this forum and check out the 100's of posts about it.
  5. Over the 5 games Shelby averaged 16.6 PPG, shooting 61% from the field (30/49), including 55% from 3pt. (16/29, also 7 three pointers in one game) and grabbed 34 rebounds. Great job Shelby!
  6. I believe that was me...lol I said I liked them as #2 in the district.. Hard to lose 2 players as Walton did plus their coach, and Kennedy is a good player bit can't do it all herself at W'town. Congrats to coach West and the Lady Braves!
  7. Congrats Ally! Also worth mentioning, Meier and Harmeyer of SK are both closing in on 1000 pts each. If both achieve this that will give SK 4 1000 point scorers, including Harney who is already over 1000.
  8. Ok I'll bite... Jsca- it was a snap chat post that a Ryle player posted after the 1st game and was copied and sent to my daughter. It was nothing bad or nasty but it did get her riled up. My whole point was you should never give your opponents more incentive to play harder against you. I have watched a lot of these kids grow up and play as they've played for the same organizations or were at the same tournaments. Coach34-I hope this clears up the CLASSIC BGP crap for you. Watchmen- I hope above all that this satisfies you. With your wealth of local basketball knowledge and the fact that you seem to be such a great supporter of my daughter's team, I'd love to sit and chat with you at one of their games. I'm at every game. Look me up, I'm not hard to find, as I don't hide behind a screen name.
  9. Not going to get into it. It's over and done. Was a little surprised myself as I know a couple of them too.
  10. The game was never really in doubt from the start. Credit to Ryle as they did put up more of a fight than in game 1. Problem is if you try to stop the inside game, they(Pioneers) will kill you outside, or vice-versa. And if you are lucky enough to slow down either or both of those facets, you still have to contend with one of the top point guards in the state in Niece, so pick your poison... In this one I think the experience, talent and size of SK overwhelmed the youngsters from Union. Speaking of youngsters and youth, this game hopefully served as a lesson to them about watching what they say and post on social media, because you never know when it might come back to bite you. Never give an opponent more incentive to play harder. That being said, pretty good tournament for the Lady Pioneers. Niece named player of the game, Harmeyer and Niece named to the All Tournament team for SK, Scherr and Schwartz for Ryle. One side note that was impressive is that every junior (4) and all 3 seniors on the SK roster received awards for Academic Achievement, having a 3.0 GPA or higher. Nice job ladies!
  11. The Lady Pioneers play Ryle tomorrow at 2:30 at Scott Co. I will take SK by 15+
  12. No way would I say they are the best team in the state right now..one of the best? Most definitely. But it is worth noting that the Mercer game was a pre-season game in November, they lost to Sacred Heart in overtime, and lost to Butler by 4. Hopefully there will be a rematch with one of these teams at the L.I.T next weekend. IMO, as one who has seen every game so far, this team is not firing on all cylinders yet. When or if they do- WATCH OUT! lol
  13. Franklin County - Talley 2 2 7, Stewart 3 0 6, Brunette 1 0 2, Cook 1 1 4, Miles 3 6 14, Courtney 1 1 3, Hogan 1 0 2, Jordan 1 0 3, Peach 1 0 2. Totals: 14 10 43.
  14. Sorry they haven't posted them yet. As stated earlier, SK played very hard on def. Harney was named defensive player of the game, and also shot 62.5% from the floor. SK dominated the boards on both ends of the floor. Niece scored at will and shot 88% (8 /9) from the charity stripe, along with 11 boards. Harmeyer continued where she left off Saturday shooting 80% (4/5) from 3 pt. land and 70% overall for the game.
  15. SK box score- Niece 22, Harmeyer 18, Harney 10, Jones 6, Stamper 6, Gilliam 3, Meier 2.
  16. You are right, my mistake. I read it wrong! LOL
  17. WOW! That really adds another element to that LIT bracket!
  18. Final from Independence. Lady Pioneers started a little sluggish, but heated up as the game went on. Pretty physical game. Liked the energy shown on the court. Box- Niece 19, Harmeyer 12, Jones 10, Harney 7, Meier 6, Gilliam 5, Bush 4, Stamper 3, Buckner 3, Vickers 2, Dressman and Waite with 1 each. Shooting 48.3% 3pt. 33.3% FT 75% (9-12) Rebounds 33
