Michaela accepted a full athletic scholarship to play basketball for the Georgetown Tigers this afternoon.

 

She was the leading scorer for the Demons the final three years of her career, amassing more than 1,200 points So.-Sr., including 576 as a Senior, good for 20.6ppg.

 

Some fun facts from Michaela's Senior season:

 

Leading scorer in the 8th Region.

WHS had a 13-3 record when she scored 20+ points.

Named MVP of the Christmas at the Capital, averaging 33ppg in the team's three games, including 45 in the semifinals in a 3-point win over Model.

 

On top of all that, she's simply deserving, and too good a kid to not be thrilled for her.
