  1. Didn't hear names involved but heard there was someone that wanted North Oldham to start chucking the ball around. Weak weak administration the money that bought a coaching change will buy their job next time!
  2. The man spent 10 years building that program. Showed extreme loyalty to the program and when the time came for people to show him the same. The weak administration ducked their heads.
  3. I don't know how loaded it will be I think there will be some solid teams in the district. Shelby last year was really good don't know if there will be any of these teams to that level. I think the district from top to bottom is just a solid district, no easy teams. I do have concerns about North Oldham now. Coach Martin always got the most out of those teams, I have a fear that they may want to go with a little more flashy offense.
  4. Spencer returns the most starters, Franklin returns most of their lineman but lose their QB and recievers, Shelby and Collins suffer major losses on their lines. I believe Shelby lost more when you factor in Manica and Perry. Don't really know about North they seem to be a program in transition. Who knows how this district will shake out, Shelby was picked last in the preseason last year. As stated it is a tough district no easy games.
  5. The administration didn't have any issues with the offensive scheme, the defensive scheme or the way the program was ran. It was stated earlier that the coach needs full control with the current make up of PT that isn't going to happen and therefore this process will repeat itself. All parties need to work together to benefit the good of all programs. Currently that is impossible and don't see it changing.
  6. Don't know who it will be but feel very confident he will not be leaving WKY.
  7. Yep the old gang is getting the $$$$$$ together right now to bring him back where it all started.
  8. This will be interesting a lot of the athletic programs in this system are floundering due to the split. It is a very tough spot! Nice facilities and one of the top areas around to live but just too many obstacles to overcome to be successful.
  9. They did not coach together, they both coached under Mark Brown. Mike at Nelson and Lance at John Hardin.
  10. Kids have four years of high school. Really annoys me that parents want to take their kids on vacations during spring break or fall break and leave a team. If kids are going to cut out on their teams during breaks they shouldn't play.
  11. I think the district is wide open. Any of the 5 could win it and I wouldn't be surprised.
  12. Well seems like the KHSAA I in a pinch now. It appears the coaches overwhelmingly dislike the Rawlings ball. Will they make go a different direction?
  13. Just saying if they want to have a chance to be successful he needs to be the football and track coach.
  14. It is in the best interest of PT football for Randy to be the head football coach. Read into that what you want.
  15. He made the decision that was best for him and his family! Great coach, he will coach again and will be successful!
  16. This could get interesting at Henderson.
  17. I think it is a lot more valuable to continue hitting the weight room hard and working on agility drills to improve players strength and quickness. In June teams get their players back and you can use that as the install time leading up to the dead period. I feel spring practice is the most beneficial to the lineman.
  18. I guess we can go ahead and say mcpeek to Nelson?
  19. I think Kevin Mays has been looking to coach in KY for several years. Probably not the first job he was offered.
  20. Take 10 people and put them on a committee and try and get them to all agree on one candidate is tough. Then if you have a candidate that fits the profile that the Principal and the AD are looking for but the parents are balking then you have issues. Those people will work closely with this teacher/coach on a daily basis, they should know what they need and what they are looking for! Committees are put together to appease the parents and give administrators some buffer if things don't go well! If you as an administrator screw the hire up you have to fix it! Need to do your leg work talk to people keep conversations in confidence and make the best hire.
  21. Well the football coach works for the principal and the AD. No need for a committee they should be able to go through the applicants and hire who they think best works with them. Not a complicated process, the more people you get involved the less productive the process is. Principals and AD's know what they need and in most instances have resources they can lean on. Not ever process is perfect and I am sure some school administrators screw it up, but getting a group of people with different agendas on the same page is tough! As and AD or an administrator you have to have confidence and the ability to make the best decision for your kids and school then support your choice!
  22. Exactly why you don't need a dang committee. The principal and AD should be able to make this hire and have the SBDM sign off and it is over.
  23. That is somewhat accurate but in the two games Anderson spent a lot of time at the free throw line.
