First, Meade doesn't water down the field. Just so happens one year the old grounds person left the water on the day before Meade faced North Hardin. It was sloppy but it was not intentional. Second, Meade players have a lot of respect for what Buford has done this year and Henry Clay. He is a great back and Meade is not taking Henry Clay lighty.

I guess we will see. I don't hate Central, I just think they are overrated. Central scored 7 points with two key Meade defensive starters hurt, not to mention their starting FB, who at 50% still out gained Central's FB. Arnette got a whooping 35 yards on 15 carries...15. Yes we have a difficult path. But the comment was "Central Hardin and Meade haven't played the schedule others have played." My point is Meade has proven itself in 6A..Central has not. I quote the Guru..."The issue with Central Hardin people are not sure if their schedule has prepared them for what it takes to endure a playoff run."

Central is neither big or athletic. They played a very weak schedule at least Meade played 3 6A teams to include the #1 6A team (Male). If not for a few key injuries Meade easily beats Central. Meade's defense has faced the best in 6A. can't say that about Central. Central still has to prove themselves in 6A. Meade already did that last year and again this year against Male.

No way the team from the bottom bracket wins. I think it will be a blowout.

I agree, the winner of the top bracket will be your State Champion. 95% of the state's top 6A programs are in the top bracket.

I believe KHSAA has to find a better way. There will be a lot of good teams in the top bracket lose and not continue on because of the difficult pairings. Mean while sub par teams in the bottom bracket continue.

Well obviously you haven't looked at the KHSAA 6A stats for team defense. Scott Co ranks near the top in most categories. Henry Clay and Bryan station are both ranked as well in some categories. Central defense is alright but would not say its dominating emough to ride to the 6A championship.

Meade & Central will both have tough roads, home field advantage or not. District 7 is probably the second best district as a whole behind the super district.

Why not CH they will probably play Scott in the 2d round and are ranked 3rd?

I won't take to win away from Central...but it wasn't like they dominated any phase. They score on 4th down and went for 2 on the side Tyler Addesa normally plays on. He blows up both plays..but hey he wasn't able to play OLB they scored. But in one poll CH is ranked 3rd in 6A...I agree very overrated.

If Addesa/Kaiser (starting FB/LB) were 100%, Meade probably would have shut out Central and scores at least 21. Central wasn't that good.

This is for both Voice of Reason & CoachPuckett. Yes some of the teams Meade has played are struggling this year. But keep in mind that's not Meade County's issue. These schedules are made 3 years out, the coaching staff cannot predict the future. Meade has only given up 32 points to teams in the top 10 in 6A. So CoachPuckett, I wont say Meade has played a soft schedule just some of the teams are off this year. Normally a schedule containing Male, Central Hardin, John Hardin, Warren East and Doss would be considered a good schedule. Yes Meade lost to Central in OT by 1 point. I don't think that validates anything one way or the other for either program. You would think they would would get a win sooner or later in 15 years. Meade has 5 shutouts and has held both Male & CH way below their averages. That a good year for any team.

Other than Breck what part is soft. Central's schedule is softer yet they are 7th. If not for some key injuries could have won both of their losses.

Just put a little perspective on the game. First, congrats to CH on their big win. CH was well coached, prepared and played a great game. However, believe the game would have been different if both starting LB/RB (Addesa & Kaiser) were 100%. Hopefully we will see CH in the playoffs and healthy. Again great win..but the real season starts in 3 weeks.

Bottom line...no ifs and buts Male only scored 17 on Meade..all the stats don't matter only the score. X stop the big play and you win...

Meade -vs- Scott County last year. Clearly Scott fumbled with two minutes to go with the score tied. Meade ran the fumble in for a touch down costing them the 6A title. Scott should put an *** on their trophy...or at least send the ref a christmas present.

Meade's defense exposed Male's weakness...stop the passing game and don't give up any big plays. Make Male one dimensional. Again, if Meade doesn't muff a kick-off Male only scores 10 points. Male only had one long sustained drive (started at the fifty)..the opening kick-off. Male offense is great between the 20s, but struggles in the red zone. St X by 10

ColtPride, just because I like you I will still keep trying to educate you. Schedules are made years out, typically not year to year. Yes, some teams we have played are struggling this year. It’s not Meade’s fault John Hardin is down (but normally a Power house every year)…JTown got rid of their coach midseason…Doss has great athletes, not sure why they are struggling. Warren East is 3-4 and could be easily 5-2…Central Hardin- Top 10 in 6A….Male…#1 in 6A….North Hardin leading passer in the state 5A..RB 1,000 all-purpose yards already this year. So really if you look at the schedule as a whole before the season Meade’s schedule is as strong, if not stronger than Desales. Just so we are clear both Desales and Male are great football programs with outstanding players & coaches...but so is Meade. Since we don't play during the regular season its hard to tell what would happen.
