Agree that it is harder to get recognized when you are a TE or FB

CKSportsFan...now it has to be FBS..not FCS and has to be scholarship not walk on or preferred. I would say to that any player that gets any offer from a D1 program should be at least HM on any State list.

Case in point John Hardin had 6 selections...(Finished the season with a record of 7-7)... Central Hardin had 4 selections. Meade beat John Hardin during the regular season and beat Central Hardin in the Regional Championship game (30-8). In the playoffs Meade beat Henry Clay...6A champion Scott County at Scott county, undefeated Central Hardin at Central, went 11-3 losing to Trinity in the 6A State Semis and only has 2 selections. Cmon Man!!!! Teams without a major newspaper or AP voting member in their county or community are always at a disadvantage. Regardless of the players performance. In addition, FB/TE should have their own category.

Tyler Addesa Meade County...Wofford at FB or OLB

The real All State Team is being created on another thread "College Commit List". So the real All Star list won't be completed until Aug 2015. Less then 6% of all HS football players play at the next level. These players are being selected to play at the college level by coaches with no hidden agendas. These coaches only select the best players. Now I can see why a lot of coaches don't put much stock in these lists. There are multiple D1 prospects and players with D1 offers that were omitted.

Anybody heard when it will be released.

Sean Hammond I think committed to Ball State not Louisville. Shaun Whittinghill- Austin Peay, Clay McKee- Georgetown

They won last year even though the TN was much bigger. The roster is stacked with over 20 All Staters. The kids take this game very serious.

I would say wing T based on the number of backs on the team.

I think Crider will play some at LB. If Coach McKee is the HC they probably will play the wing T. Cain, Beasley, Brooks and Crider at the wing position. Hatfield, Whitman and Addesa at FB. Just a guess..

All the players selected were contacted by the committee and had to accept the nomination to play.

They posted a corrected roster...around 430.

Congrats to all the players. Obviously a lot of horse trading goes on between coaches and in certain districts. Some coaches and teams seem to have a lot of selectees every year.

Has anyone seen the roster.

Don't see how Damion Harris can win. He might be the highest ranked player by the media outlets, but IMO how can you consider a guy who only played half the season. Not only did Crider play the whole season he had more rushing yards and TDs than Harris. I believe Beau Hodge, Highlands, Cody Crider, Graves County and Elijah Sindelar, Caldwell County are the front runners. All finished the season and led their teams to the playoffs and in some case won their respective state titles.

As I said on the last thread ref Mr. Football, there should be one for offense and defense. Seems every year it only contains offensive positions (QB/RB/WR)

Jason Scott- 1st year DC, took over for Coach Mattingly (New Central Hardin HC). Yea it will be interesting to see the playoffs next year with Trinity in D3.

We agree on something...this thread was about defense. Defenses are measured by points allowed at every level not strenght of schedule. In the regular season stat wise Meade was #1...if you add the playoffs Manual edged Meade out by 10 (146-136). By the way I think Trinity had the best defense..They Won it All !!!!!

Maybe Male, Manual, Trinty, and St.X should play their own championship series since everyone else is so unworthly of being on the same field offensively and defensively.

I took out the last game. Manual didn't have a game. I looked the 12 games Manual played VS the 12 Meade played.

First, Meade did play an extra game (I believe State Semi Finals) if you take out that game, Manual gave up 136 and Meade 146. Meade was #1 in the regular season. Manual had a great D as well. Say what you want about schedules that's becoming an old argument. That's all we hear from the Louisville crowd, the poor super district.
