  1. What was it ...we won our playoff games. Forget the regular season since you guys obviously play a harder schedule. Lets look strictly at the playoffs (I mean thats the real season). Henry Clay is on par with McCracken and Scott Co on par with X. We allowed 38 points and scored 42. Manual allowed 32 and allowed 32. Not sure Manual was all that better if at all.
  2. First, Meade did play an extra game (I believe State Semi Finals) if you take out that game, Manual gave up 136 and Meade 146. Meade was #1 in the regular season. Manual had a great D as well. Say what you want about schedules that's becoming an old argument. That's all we hear from the Louisville crowd, the poor super district.
  3. Well then all you are doing is stating your opinion. The stats says other wise. I believe in the regular season Meade ranked #1 in points allowed followed by Manual. We held Warren Central (at Warren Central) to 10..Male (at Male) to 17..undefeated Central Hardin (At Central) to 8..high powered Henry Clay (#1 rusher in 6A) to 14 and last year 6A champ Scott co (At Scott) to 24. By the way North Hardin had one the best offenses in the state. Their QB was ranked #1 and their RB #1 or 2 in 5A. North just had issues on defense. Yes Trinity came in playing at a high level and beat us..they also put 30+ on Male..and 50+ on 6A runnerup Dixie Heights. We had one bad defensive game in the 14 we played. IF X and Manual played better D they might have made it to the 6A state semi finals.
  4. I think Meade County was he #1 defense in 6A followed by Manual. In the 6A playoffs I believe you have to give the edge to Trinity and then Meade.
  5. Then KHSAA should be consistant even during the regular season and suspend every ref or crew that makes an incorrect or wrong interruption of a rule. Ha HA..why don't they we would have no refs. Publically suspending them is over the top...just my opinion.
  6. Points: KHSAA got it wrong by suspending these guys: Ok, the refs made a bad call. Counsel them...tar & feather them…take their measly $60.00 (If that much) for calling the game. These ERRORS happen all the time. The refs at last year's 6A championship made a bad call costing Meade the championship as well. There is no way to make the game or the refs perfect. It's been part of the game and always will be. They are human, even in the NFL Mike Herra (Fox's Ref Expert) will disagree with a call after it has been reviewed by the refs on the field and in NY. Now I'm not saying that bad calls or interruption of the rules is ok, but why suspend these guys. This happens every Friday night across the state and these bad calls costs teams' important losses. My problem is with the KHSAA. 1. Why isn't instant replay used at these critical games..it's available, these game are televised (This would have corrected the call last year costing perhaps Meade the 6A championship). 2.. Why doesn't the KHSAA have a head ref in the both monitoring the game. The refs on the field are busy..trying to get the call right..trying to keep the game going…listening to screaming coaches and fans. This head ref could have communication with the ref on the field to make corrections if he sees a wrong mark off for a penalty or wrong interruption of a rule. (This would have fixed the Desales / Murray call) 3. The sideline violation is a point of emphasis for the KHSAA. I have a friend that is a head ref, we discussed this he said you will get in more trouble for not maintaining the sideline than missing a call on the field (Still not sure how Coach Mckee does it he is literally on the field and no penalty). If the coach from Murra was following the rule there would be no infaction. 4. A lot of refs are older and not in the best shape causing them to be out of position to make calls or just flat out missing them because of poor eyesight. You get what you pay for. $60.00 a game is not enough to lure young people into the game. A lot of people don't want the hassle that's associated with being a ref on Friday night or for that matter on Monday for JV games or Thursday for freshman games. Especially having to deal with disrespectful fans, players and coaches all for $60.00. It's only going to get worse once these older refs hang up the whistles and cleats.
  7. Trinity's Nose Tackle was the reason for a lot of the success of the others around him. Teams had to double or in some cases triple team him. Any LB playing behind him would look like a superstar.
  8. so are you saying Trinity's front 7 individually were the best 7 in the state. Because the all district teams are who is best at their individual positions. Its not a team award. I agree Trinity may of had the best 7 as a team but indiviadually..No
  9. I agree...but you guys proved it on the field and got the ultimate prize.
  10. The All State team selection process has just as many issues. Congrats to all those named.

  12. Coach Larry Mofield (Meade County). Coach Mofield’s body of work has been nothing short of amazing (2013 State Runner up & 2014 State Semi Finals Runner up). Coach Mofield led Meade County to back to back Regional Championships (2013-2014) to include a record of 23-6 the last 2 seasons (Highest winning percentage in Meade County history). What is amazing is Coach Mofield accomplished this after losing perhaps the best defensive minded coach in 6A (This year’s 6A coach of the year Tim Mattingly- Central Hardin HS) and graduating one of the most talented senior classes to ever come through Meade County. In addition to finishing with another double digit win season, Coach Mofield led the Greenwaves to victories in the playoffs (Some said may have been the toughest road to the finals in 6A (Rd1-Henry Clay…Rd 2-Scott County @ Scott County…Rd 3-Central Hardin @ Central Hardin and losing to eventual 6A champion Trinity). Based on these accomplishments Coach Mofield should be considered 2014 Coach of the Year.
  13. It happened last year in the state 6A finals Scott co clearly fumbled the ball and Meade clearly recovered it and scored a TD giving Meade the lead 21-14 with about 2 minutes to go. One ref ruled the runner down. The problem was it was the pulling guard that was down not the runner. The ref got confused. KHSAA admited the mistake..but Scott Co still got the ring...
  14. I know MEANGREENMACHINE: This kinda answers the scheduling question for (Green Guy or anyone else). Yes they are adding some more difficult teams, but we are also dropping the best team we play. I will say it again; the schedule is made years in advance. No one could have foreseen John Hardin struggling like they did early in the year. North Hardin had a great offense, just struggled on defense. Jtown is moving to 6A next year (not to mention Male also played them this year). Muhlenberg is our district (KHSAA put them there not Meade) Meade had to play them. As a fan I don’t think we should play Breck or North Bullitt but EVERY school has these types of games. When we had a tougher schedule years ago, people complained we didn’t win enough. I would love to see us play St. X, Manual or Trinity during the year maybe two in the super district. But scheduling out of district games is a two way street. The team you want to play must want to play you. This is not always easy when you have the success we’ve had the last few years (minus Friday night). There were a lot of things that led to the loss Friday, but the schedule was not one of them. The kids played hard all year defying the odds in the first three rounds of the playoffs. We just ran into a team playing at a high level Friday.
  15. I totally agree, next year our schedule gets a little tougher we open with Bulter, we also dropped Mulenburg. We added Warren Central and Bryan Station. But unfortunately we also dropped Male. I would like to see us play 2 teams from the super district every year. I agree since everyone goes to the playoffs the only thing the regular season does is prepare you for the real season, the playoffs. Thank you for kind words on our season. Good luck Saturday !!!!
  16. This loss had nothing to do with schedule. We beat the #2...#3...and the #7 teams in 6A in the playoffs. If you watch a replay of the game online or HUDL you will see why we struggled. But it's not schedule. Our schedule is not much different from most public school programs.
  17. First, congratulations to a great Trinity squad. You guys played lights out, Good luck next Saturday in BG. To my Waves, man what a run the last two years (23-6), 1 State 6A Runner-up, 1 State Semi-State Runner-up, 2 Region Championships, Revenged 2 losses (Scott Co. & Central Hardin). I have watched many of you since youth league. It was a great ride watching you guys grow into the men you are. I know things didn't go our way Friday, but you guys gave us a lot of priceless memories. Roll Waves !!
  18. Actually your original post was ridiculous. I think you said our offense was one dimensional ... Which indicates we can only do one thing. However my point was you are wrong. We are a first run team.. But we are efficient at passing as well. Then you say the passing game is primitive (really primitive)... Then you say we win with defense, time of possession and by out scoring our opponents (really I thought that was the goal) (you are the one that sounds clueless). But we can't come back down 2 touchdowns against the nightly Trinity. Who says we will ever be down by 2 touchdowns or that you will even score that many. Our defense is as good if not better than X and you only scored 1 TD. You know what they say about opinions.
  19. Yes we have a few that go both ways...most do not. why would it effect him now..he has been playing that way for the last 13 games.
  20. Season Paases are only good for the regular season. School employees are the only folks with passes.
  21. From the Meade County Football Boosters: At the end of the day, both are great programs with great coaches, players and fans. It should be a great game. After we all get done blowing a bunch of hot air on this site, I hope everyone traveling to Meade from Trinity has a safe trip to and from louisvillle. We should all remember at the game to respect one another and enjoy a hopefully injury free game...its really about the kids straping on the cleats and pads.
