Jtown needs to put more focus on defense to be successful and soon as Bullitt East on Tuesday determines #1 seed in district. Sutton has a great head on his shoulders, as Coach Just has ran away many players from that program. They seems to be playing better now that Reed has left the team. Sutton would be a great mid-major player although Bellermine is not a bad pickup.

Johnson missed a 3 at the buzzer that would have sent the game to a second overtime. Very fun game to watch.

Sutton is a great player and he saved Manual with his rebounding. Jtown has a great display of shooting (Williams 8 threes, Johnson 6 threes) and Marshal had no trouble getting to the rim for his 34 points. Manual played a more balance game and seem to be hitting their stride...

Raymond played his middle school days at Conway Middle School which is a feeder school for PRP. Although he could have attended any Louisville public school his freshman year, PRP was his home school. He now he lives with (majority of the time) with another current player on Trinity (see last year KY Travelers roster for connection) basketball team which affords him the opportunity to attend Trinity.

How do you put Western and Fern Creek in front of Jtown when Jtown beat both of those teams head-to-head. Jtown loses are to quality opponents (and a tougher schedule) and they lead the region in scoring. And having Bullitt East so high when they have lost 3 games in a row.

Just my opinion, Because Snider has already signed with "Louisville", I believe most voters are giving Mr Basketball to someone who lives out in the state.

Raymond should have been playing with PRP...... But being at Trinity is a better situation for him because of where he lives. Although I don't agree with it, it keeps a good kid on track to becoming great.

Their leading scorer the past couple of games has been JR Cameron Reed, when he is hot, he can score with the best of them.. They have lost 2 major players for the year with knee injuries but they are not missing a beat.

East was the #1 rated team in the LIT...... That is 3 losses in a row for them with # 4 coming against Manual on Thursday.... As they start playing the quality 6/7th region teams, their weakness is exposed.... I understand Rhett Troutman being injured takes some from this team As for district seeding, East & JTown plays Feb 4 to decide #1 seed in the district. Both teams already defeated WhiteField & Fern Creek.

Moore would have been a respectable team. They lost their coach (and a player) at the start of the school year to Taylor County. Then there leading player transferred to Doss but tore his ACL (2nd injury within a year).

I agree they are playing hard... But there schedule is not what a 6th region would expect. No Doss, PRP, or any team from 6th/7th region area. They played Fern Creek twice (1st game won by 1, LIT game lost). Jtown game they were down 10 but they way Jtown (Live die by the 3) Bullitt got back in the game. The LIT rating and rating out Lexington paper is even not showing them love. Come tournament time they won't be in region finals may be not even make the region tournament.

People are way to high on Bullitt East... That is 2 losses in a row with each loss an excuse. They loss to Fern Creek (who then loses 2 games in a row). East schedule isn't great as they don't play the 2 best teams in the 6th region (Doss & PRP).

Waynie is a lot better than most kids on that list. People tend to get stuck with names and the team they play for. There is 2/3 more Louisville kids that should be on this list.

Why exclude Jtown.... They defeated Male (and led the whole game). And played Bullitt East pretty well. Butler lost to a team you also don't have listed. Have you watched Butler play against KCD? CAL really????

Trinity only plays it's district games, LIT, District Tournament, and Region Tournament. No other JCPS school is allowed (or will not) schedule a game against them. Hence there are few teams that really get a shot at them.

I believe Male problem is coaching. They have talent on that team. Kids are scared to make a mistake, so when they do they get taken out of game. Jtown obviously did not have to size to handle Male but Will Parker sit most of the second half. and Male coach substitution patten was iffy at best. I think coach is just working some things to be ready for tournament time. They have the kids to compete. Now Jtown has played one of their better defensive games against Male last night. They are more of an offensive based team but when the big 3 (Marshal, Williams, Johnson) are having bad nights Jtown would look god awful... But it seems now Coach Moody has made defense a priority and game against Bullitt East is going to surprise some people.

Jefferson County already decided the location is @ Valley High School for some stupid reason..... Worst location possible.....

Eastern is a well coached team...... But I believe they are officially lost 2 starters (seniors at that) with knee injuries for the season.

Jtown is becoming easily defensed when all they do is shoot 3's..... Only 3 guys score consistently but others need to have some confidence....

Ballard was also playing without Malik Dow. You put Snider & Dow back in the mix, Ballard will dominate all in region including Trinity.

I have not seen a announcement about the hiring. But Mr Lemon was coach at very successful Crosby middle school. Hope he like it there as Moore is not as supportive as Crosby Middle School when it comes to athletics.

You missing something in your ranking. Jtown only has to replace the 20 point the Moe Hendricks brought to the table and near end of last season others has stepped up. IF coaching gets better, Jtown will battle any team or any given night. Too much is given to Bullitt East and Moore as I think Iroquois will be the 3rd team, Jtown 4th, then Butler. Moore has too many questions (new coaching, how will Jalen respond to his injury). Bullitt East has few guys with Varsity experience, they lost a ton.

Both are class of 2015.. Levitich: 6'4" (a little on the thin size), shooting guard, smalls forward. Can get to the basket at will, Good 3 shooter, defends well. Had big games against the Travelers & E1T1 (game winner of both games). Has an offer from Wofford with several other schools looking. Stafford: 6'1" combo guard, needs to work on shot form but makes shot consistently. Really good at getting to basket, very athletic. Has interest but unsure the status. Good things is both have good High School coaching. Will get plenty of time for Trinity who should battle Ballard for 7th region.

yes these are after Nationals.... There is a 15U team (Carolina Diamonds) that played well in Showcase (The did not play nationals). So they we added into ranking for 16U. 2 of Florida teams are EYBL teams (Nike Team Florida, EITI Elite). Similar to football, Florida has talent in the basketball ranks as well. Several member on the Florida Vipers plays on the Dominican Republic National team. But keep in mind, not all teams play the AAU circuit which has different eligibility requirements thus many teams do not play true AAU events. Also I believe the Arkansas Wings has a major KY recruit playing with them but also has a team loaded with D1 players.
