AAU 2014
I have never seen Patterson but Evan Hall is a beast when he want to. Will Parker could be tough to handle at time as well but he rarely plays well on the AAU circuit.

AAU 2014
What the The Ville teams has over a lot of the teams in KY is this group has played together for the last 4/5 years (some guys even longer). This team has only lost 2 times to KY teams in the past 4/5 years (Hoop Dreams 2 yrs ago, and Next Level Retros in the AAU state final). And that includes beating the Travelers in Atlanta last year. In any case AAU state this year should be great. And the goal is to get as many kids playing on the next level (if that is their goal).

Why isn't Tennessee not listed? That is where is was originally committed.

Sweet 16 Predictions
Trinity should not be written off just yet. They are a great defensive team, and defense wins championships. Plus they beat Ballard with Spaulding only scoring a bucket or 2...

Ballard/Trinity predictions (7th Region Championship)
I believe Ballard is only losing 3 players from this year squad. Q is a big lose, but there backup point guard should be able to step in well after a year of experience.

Ballard/Trinity predictions (7th Region Championship)
Levitch can knock down 3 from long range. I just believe Trinity's system goes through Ivory, Spalding , and Owens. If Levitch was playing for any other team (for example, North Oldham), he would be averaging double figures easily. Trinity game plan is defense and feed Spalding on offense to create opportunities for others to score.

Doss/PRP Predictions (6th)
Both teams struggled down the stretch but I believe PRP has the coaching and great senior leadership that should get them the WIN. The other side of the Bracket has Bullitt East vs Bullitt Central for which East should get the easy Win.

KY JR All-Stars invites goes out
There are probably a couple of other kids that should be on that list. I know most of the list are major contributors on the respective HS team. I know a few that play a high level of AAU ball that should be on that list as well (Michale Stafford, Jax Levitich - Trinity, Will Parker - MALE) but at some point a lot of the kids are about the same and it becomes a best fit for the team. You have to build a team that can compete and Indiana is no joke, KY is far behind. It also come down to High School coaches marketing their kids to get them to the next level. In my opinion playing on the Senior team is more highly regarded than playing on the Junior team. As most Juniors who play at a high level during AAU season will be playing bigger tournaments during the tryout time (Weekend April 11 - 13). for Juniors, this is the last year to make a big run on the AAU circuit... I believe the site mentioned colleges will be at try-outs but I don't see how seeing that evaluation weekend is the last week of April.

KY JR All-Stars invites goes out
It seems the Sr list is missing quite of few expected invites. maybe missing by error.

Evaluating my Preseason Predictions for the 6th Region
It is live & die by the three..... If Johnson & Williams were hot, the middle opens up for Marshal to do his thing.... If it is Marshal trying to do his things everyone else is shut out. Those 3 provided about 85% of Jtown scoring this year..

Evaluating my Preseason Predictions for the 6th Region
You district for the 6 region are incorrect. It should be 21, 22, 23, 24...... And Jeffersontown beat everyone you have listed below them with exception of Fern Creek. Jtown won season game in OT ,lost district tournament game by 3 but should have won but ref nullified winning shot with a phantom walking call (See Wave 3 video).
-
Regional Breakdown
Officially it is an North/South divide. It would have been best if they put all of the Bullitt County schools in the same district. Or better yet a different region.... There are enough schools in Jefferson Country to fill the 6/7th regions.

Iroquois 95 Butler 85 OT
Iroquois is missing their top player because of injuries (Devon Johnson)... He has not played since early Feb.
-
Iroquois 95 Butler 85 OT
6/7 region refs has been a crap shoot at times this season. I think they used a lot of new refs this season, some who was not ready for High School basketball. The crew has usually been the head ref was experienced, with the other 2 being newbies. And at times during the game, the head ref would make a call that 1 of the other refs should have made. With one player shooting 31 free throws , I assume if you looked at a player wrong, a foul would be called....

Anyone have a tough 1st round District elimination challenge around the state?
6th Region, 22 District Iroquois who have been ranked top 15 all season in most polls have the 5th seed in their district. The have to beat Butler (who they recently lost too) and Doss to guarantee they make it into the regional tournament. 2013/14 Kentucky High School Boys Basketball

Bullitt East 79 Jeffersontown 59
I was a good game for a half, East came out on fire in the 3rd quarter.... Bullitt East is a better team than I have given credit in the past..... Very well coached team. Jtown has issues... and it has more to do with coaching than the kids....
-
Ballard 94 Eastern 72
Houston and Bell played together for 3 years....
-
Ballard 94 Eastern 72
I believe the 3 pt line was in effect... Also Martin's dad played along side of Houston for 3 years.
-
Louisville Holy Cross 54 Pleasure Ridge Park 50 OT
Anything can happen.... Jefferson County kids were without practice/games (and possibly any real activity) all of this week because of weather (no school Monday, early dismissal Tuesday, No school Wednesday).... Rust possible settled in and got the best of them.

Basketballs Best...Ballard, CPA, Luke Kennard, and more
Fairdale is really a 2 man team. Thomas and Coaches son. Against normal teams that is enough but good teams with decent 3,4,5 they get killed. Thomas is a heck of a scorer, hope to see some schools take a chance on him, great kid as well.
