Getslow Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Final per Jason Frakes Iroquois moves on to face Doss in the 22nd District semifinals. This district is insane. Iroquois, at 19-7, battles for an overtime win, but since they're only the four seed, they have to play top-seeded Doss Wednesday night. I'm still not sure how the tiebreaker worked between Iroquois, Western and DeSales that put the Raiders in that spot with Western and DeSales into tomorrow's semifinals.
dawgs83 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Iroquois lost to Butler, Desales, and Doss in the regular season. Heard Butler players got Two T's late.
Clyde Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 97 FTs attempted in this game. One kid was 25/31.

madman Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 What Region did the refs come from? Those refs were their region refs. They only move for the regional tournament.
JokersWild24 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Any additional details on the late T's?
gold sunrise Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 97 FTs attempted in this game. One kid was 25/31. Wow. How long did it take to play this game? Believe the Doss/ Iroquois game will be a battle.
Getslow Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Wow. How long did it take to play this game? Believe the Doss/ Iroquois game will be a battle. It definitely should be, but it wasn't the first time around. Doss beat them by 20 back on Feb. 8. When Doss is really rolling, they're fantastic. But like a lot of the Sixth this year... it's so tough to know what's going to happen because from top to bottom, that region is outstanding.
Clyde Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Any additional details on the late T's? Players yapping at refs.
spindoc Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Players yapping at refs. With that many FT, everyone was likely yapping at refs.
JokersWild24 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 With that many FT, everyone was likely yapping at refs. True story. Parade to the free throw line.
TheVille30 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Those refs were their region refs. They only move for the regional tournament. 6/7 region refs has been a crap shoot at times this season. I think they used a lot of new refs this season, some who was not ready for High School basketball. The crew has usually been the head ref was experienced, with the other 2 being newbies. And at times during the game, the head ref would make a call that 1 of the other refs should have made. With one player shooting 31 free throws , I assume if you looked at a player wrong, a foul would be called....
