Iroquois 95 Butler 85 OT

Featured Replies

It definitely should be, but it wasn't the first time around.

Doss beat them by 20 back on Feb. 8. When Doss is really rolling, they're fantastic. But like a lot of the Sixth this year... it's so tough to know what's going to happen because from top to bottom, that region is outstanding.

Iroquois is missing their top player because of injuries (Devon Johnson)... He has not played since early Feb.

Sounds like it was a great game! If anyone hasn't been to the Louisville regions, it can be argued that they are just as good, if not some years, better than the Sweet 16!

With that many FT' date=' everyone was likely yapping at refs.[/quote']

Coach said a few of his players have been battling emotional outbursts all year.

Getslow, did you expect this game to be close?

Maybe -- although Butler beat them just a few weeks ago, but I don't follow the Sixth as closely as I'd like and so I didn't know that Iroquois had a top scorer who hadn't played in a month. Last I'd really heard of them was at the LIT when he was healthy. They were 12-2 heading into that tournament. Then after losing to Trinity in the LIT, they beat up-and-comer Waggener. They were 15-3 at the beginning of February which I guess is when the injury happened.

They've taken some licks since then.

Plain and simple, the 22nd is loaded.

A wild one from the 6th Region.

2 of the 3 officials worked tonight's Western/DeSales game. If you LOOKED at someone in the 4th qtr it was a foul.

Goal tending call on Western was terrible. Huge call.

Official blocked me ( I was sitting near the floor). Seemed like a lot of people thought it was a bad call.

So in the first two games of the district tourney there have been 164 FT attempts.

I will never listen to anyone talk again about how the 9th calls it tightly.
