Snider scores 30 & in the process becomes Ballard's all-time leading scorer, surpassing Allan Houston.

Kelan Martin moved up to third on that list passing Mark Bell. Im not sure if he has a chance to pass Allen

Snider and Martin might be the best 1-2 combo for Ballard since Jeff Lamp and Lee Raker.

Over the past four seasons, Ballard’s Quentin Snider has built an impressive resume. On Saturday, he added another accomplishment in leading the Bruins to a 94-72 rout of host Eastern.

The 6-foot-1 senior guard and University of Louisville signee scored a game-high 30 points and became the Bruins’ all-time leading scorer, supplanting Allan Houston. The record came at the free throw line, after he was fouled on a missed 3-point shot. He knocked down all three with 6:25 left in the game to register his 2,277th point.

Good for Q. I have always enjoyed watching him play the game of basketball. I'm glad he got the record. That is an amazing accomplishment.

You know who is number 3 scorer on Ballard's all-time list? Kelan Martin.

Not to take anything away from Snider breaking Allan Houston's record but I wonder how many Allan would have scored if the three point shot was in effect.

I believe the 3 pt line was in effect... Also Martin's dad played along side of Houston for 3 years.

Thanks for the interesting note about Martin's father playing with Houston. Didnt the three point shot start in 1988 in Ky? Would that have been Houston's senior year? Regardless Snider would have broke the record I am sure.

i heard that Kelan is just 20 points away from passing Allen as well. Which means hes just 23 points away from Q. If this is true we'll have to wait for the end of the season to determine who is going to finish as the all time leading scorer at Ballard. Both guys are averaging over 20ppg playing the hardest schedule any Ballard team has played...ever. Im pretty sure they'd give up all this individual attention to get the big trophy at Rupp....thats the goal

Kelan is 20 points from 2000. Allan had 2276. Regardless, two 2000 point scorers on one team is a lot of offensive firepower for another team to deal with.

Ballard leading career scorers, per C-J this morning:

1. Quentin Snider 2,280

2. Allan Houston 2,276

3. Kelan Martin 1,982

4. Brandon Bender 1,860

5. Mark Bell 1,802

I thought Jeff Lamp might be in there somewhere but I guess not.

Lamp has 1,682 points in his career. He really didn't play as a freshman or a sophomore -- according to Ballard's records, he only had 99 total points in his first two years. But he had a crazy 935-point senior year.

Snider and Martin might be the best 1-2 combo for Ballard since Jeff Lamp and Lee Raker.

Add in Bender and Chiles, and the Houston/Bell/Martin trio and it just doesn't seem fair how much talent Ballard has had.
