Trinity 71 Waggener 51

Featured Replies

Trinity built a large first quarter lead and coasted to the 20 point victory at Waggener. A few missed layups and less than stellar free throw shooting hurt the Shamrocks. The Wildcats never gave up and clawed to within 13 points in the fourth quarter. The game was never in doubt after Trinity opened the game with a 10-0 run. The defensive effort by the Shamrocks was the strongest key to success. :thumb:

Indiana coach Tom Crean was in attendance.

He was there for Raymond Spalding.

Spalding has been at Trinity from the getgo. He also played on their summer team ("the Celtics" as an eighth grader)

Raymond should have been playing with PRP...... But being at Trinity is a better situation for him because of where he lives. Although I don't agree with it, it keeps a good kid on track to becoming great.

Explain this. How exactly SHOULD he have been playing at PRP?

Raymond played his middle school days at Conway Middle School which is a feeder school for PRP. Although he could have attended any Louisville public school his freshman year, PRP was his home school. He now he lives with (majority of the time) with another current player on Trinity (see last year KY Travelers roster for connection) basketball team which affords him the opportunity to attend Trinity.
