Luke Kennard, Franklin City is averaging 39.7 pts, 10.3 rebs, 4.2 asts & 2.2 steals per game. Has scored 30+ in 11 of 12 games this season. He is a junior…norrowed list to seven-Louisville, Kentucky, North carolina, Duke, Michigan, Ohio State and Florida

Looks like the kid from Franklin. Oh. puts up some huge numbers,,Gooden might want to think staying at home for this one. I have seen Gooden play once this year and was not impressed, I do not understand who is promoting him so highly. Yes, I am aware that Coach Cal was at the same game that I attended, However I am sure that he attended to see the Tatum kid from St. Louis and stayed for awhile to watch the Taylor County game..

Moore, Taylor Co, and Thomas Nelson probably have no business being there. I know, when this was scheduled the Dixsons were at Thomas Nelson. Ballard and Christ Pres is the game I want to see, but based on the others, I'll probably save my money.

Plan on going to watch Luke Kennard after the UK game.

Same could be said about Augusta

I wanted Louisville to get a chance to see the states leading scorer Brent Bach. Scotty Davenport likes him….he can play. Augusta deserves some recognition…not just the "Big Boys". They beat Mason Co. in the District Tournament last year. By the way, you can also see the states #2 scorer, Cory Thomas of Fairdale. It's time we support the little guys that don't get all the recognition.

So many deserving teams and kids never get this opportunity because too many people can't believe that these kids and or teams can't be that good because they're at such a small school (Augusta has 105 kids 9-12). Anomalies do occur and when they do, we should take notice and support these teams/kids any way we can. I for one am grateful to you and your organization for the opportunity.

Allatoona High school from Ga is undefeated at 21-0. Will play Fairdale and Iroquois.

When I look on KHSAA, there is no asterisk labeling smaller schools as not being worthy of playing in such events. The kids that are student athletes at smaller schools lace up their sneakers and put on their jerseys the same as the student athletes from the "big" schools.

 

Kudos to the organizers of the KOB for giving the smaller schools an opportunity to play on a bigger stage!

I can understand showcasing the states leading scorer, what was the reasoning for having him play a 2-17 team? They give up 72 points per game. Bach scores 50% of his teams points, he should impress Scotty by tossing in 36.

Moore would have been a respectable team. They lost their coach (and a player) at the start of the school year to Taylor County. Then there leading player transferred to Doss but tore his ACL (2nd injury within a year).
