Who would be everyone's top picks for each region?

I agree with this. KCC returns their entire team. The only team in the region that returns that much talent.

Based on what each team is returning, I'd go with the following:

 

2 - Hopkinsville

6 - PRP

7 - Ballard

9 - Holmes

11 - Henry Clay

12 - Wayne County

14 - Knott Central, Perry Central, Cordia (possibly)

15 - Johnson Central

I wouldn't be shock if 10-12 of the teams that were at Rupp this past year make it again next season.

 

4th region will boil down to BG or WC.

Average. But Hall will yet again, rarely be challenged vertically.

This all depends on no crazy realignment by the KHSAA of course.

14th region should be Knott Central for the next two years. Four of their starters this year were sophomores, and their subs were freshmen and sophomores. Of course, you never know what Rhodes will come up with at Cordia from one year to the next. His team could be a player too.

It would be shocking if Ballard doesn't repeat in the 7th Region, even though Male, St. Xavier, and Trinity will be very strong. Ballard will be preseason #1 and Quinten Snider and Kelan Martin are dominating players, supported by great younger talent in Jalen Perry and Malik Dow. A word of caution for the future, watch out for Waggener (yes, I said Waggener). They have the best talent in their rising freshmen and sophomore classes in the Louisville area, and will be extremely hard to deal with beginning this year.

 

PRP should win the 6th with lots of experience, size, and athleticism returning. Even though 5'10 Antonio McDaniels and 6'7 Lamontray Harris are the only returning starters from the Sweet 16 team, 6'7 D'Angelo Hunter, 6'3 John Oyler, and 5'10 Bryce Byrd started several games throughout the year and each scored at least 18 points in several games. Juniors Khalid Raheem and Richard Gaines will make PRP the fastest and most athletic team in the region. Doss, Iroquois, and DeSales all return a ton of talented players, but they are in the same district, along with Butler and Western, and making it out of the district is a crap shoot. Fairdale and Bullitt East lost so much talent, but they will be capable of being dangerous to anyone who plays them. Moore returns several players, led by premier PG Jaelin Sanford, and they beat PRP at PRP in the final game of the regular season. My order of rankings are: 1 -- PRP; 2 -- Doss; 3 -- Moore; 4 -- Bullitt East; 5 -- Iroquois; 6 -- Fairdale; 7 -- DeSales; 8 -- Butler.

I think Fairdale will be better than that. They return 3 starters and their leading scorer.

Fairdale wil be unederated going into preseason. Cory Thomas and Caleb Longacre return and that gives them leadership at the guard spot. Thomas averaged 18.7 ppg last year. A big addition will be 6'2 Terik Mason who transferred from Manual and didnt get eligible until the last 3 weeks of the season. Fairdale will be quick and should be a good shooting team. Their biggest concern will be size. Other than PRP though, there is really not much size in the region. PRP will definitely be the favorite but wont be a lock.
