Very cool. Our county paid for all 16 high schools to get turf about 5 years ago with a SPLOST tax. It's been great. It's actually weird to play on grass now

I played at Trinity and I coach at North Cobb in Georgia.

The Lawrence kid is probably the best player I've seen at his age. And Jeff Davis smoked us last year at AU. They didn't look impressive size wise but they killed us.

They aren't that good in my opinion and their offensive minded coach just left and they replaced him with the DC that was on staff.

He's good but any college he signs with should be nervous that he'll stay the whole time. I believe he's on his 3rd or 4th high school.

They lost a lot of talent off that team but they'll still be pretty dang good. Lawrence is one of the best qbs I've seen in high school. At a 7v7 at UGA he completed every pass in the championship game. If Cartersville doesn't win this tournament I'll be surprised.

Thanks for sharing that info DF. I've seen schools change overnight and it's usually due to building apartments or cheap housing. But I under where you are coming from.

How do they determine who makes the playoffs in Kentucky?

Does Warren County have open enrollment or school choice for freshmen? Or did everyone flock to the new school?

Some of my best years of coaching were when I didn't have much talent and had a losing record.

Ugh, coaching is one of the few professions where everyone thinks they can do better.

Computer Rating 32 teams.

Kids who miss spring practice can get caught up in the summer and fall. You don't earn a starting spot in the spring.

As a coach in Georgia I would actually prefer this. I'm not a big fan of spring football myself.

Offense went to Auburn and the D went to UAB. UAB put on a clinic and we were the only coaches to show.:lol2:
