  1. The 2013 team actually stunk. This team has pieces to win but way too inconsistent
  2. They are by far an exception to the rule.
  3. As long as there is no salary cap, this is the only way for teams in medium and small markets to do well.
  4. It's a lot nicer now than watching overpaid guys underperform.
  5. If that means in 5 years the Reds are really good again then yes I'm very scared. I hope this is the case honestly.
  6. The real winners are all the small business owners that sell powerball tickets. can't imagine how much revenue they've gotten off people buying tickets and buying other stuff while in the stores.
  7. UK at Bama. UK will get spanked but it's always fun to see them play the best of the best, especially defending the national championship like 2013
  8. The NFL sucks. It's not like the fans stopped showing up to games, they still averaged like 86% capacity for the year which isn't terrible. This is just a greedy owner who wants to line his pockets with more public money, even though he's already worth 7 Billion dollars... Stupid
  9. You won't ever find a 4th quarter like that one. Absolutely awesome ending
  10. Bama is a really fun team to watch, they play a timeless version of football and do it the best as anyone has ever done it. But, Clemson really impressed me. If they could have contained the big plays they would have won easily. They were better statistically in almost every category. But Bama is Bama and they find ways to win.
  11. I only see 2 as a true dirty play where he went out of his way and that is the Baltimore one and the low hit. The Rothlesberger sack is a weak example. I honestly think he wasn't trying to hit Browns head. He just didn't let up when the ball was clearly incomplete and hit him. If Brown catches that ball it probably would have been a body blow as he was going to be a little bit more up the field. Still bad judgment. Deserves everything he got cause it's a terrible pattern that is embarrassing to the city and franchise.
  12. If the Bengals were to fire him, it should have been after the Chargers loss or last year. This year they played so well the whole year, it's hard for me to want to get rid of him after that. I would understand still if they did, cause his past history is not so great.
  13. Someone really needs to get the Dolphins and Marlins out of Miami, talk about a city that doesn't deserve a pro team. Too bad they have updated their stadiums.
  14. This season loss wasn't Marvins fault. They literally were a fumble away from winning. I get his history might stink, but this year was a different animal. As soon as Dalton got hurt the season was over, and they still almost won.
  15. I understand if he was let go but I also understand why he is being kept. This team should have had a 1st round bye before Dalton got hurt. I know they lot spectacularly but you have to take a step back and ask how many coaches can win as many games the Bengals did this year?
  16. The good news this isn't the end of the Bengals. They have what most teams in the NFL don't have, an above average QB. He's not a top 5 guy but definitely in the top 10. The NFL is about who has a QB that can put you into position to win games, and 14 is that. It stinks he couldn't play tonight cause this season would be totally different. Heck the Bengals wouldn't even be playing tonight. The season was over as soon as he got hurt. AJ did fine but Daton was the whole offense. The good news is there will still be numerous opportunities for this franchise to get over the hurdle. This really was the first year where the young guys are hitting their prime. This team will still be good for the foreseeable future.
  17. I'd rather lose than go on dates with a lady from Pittsburgh. A Pittsburgh 10 might be a Cincy soft 4
  18. I think I read at the same age Bonds hit his 72 home runs, Griffey only hit 18. Because of his non PED use his body broke down normally and his decline proves that. As a Red fan it was almost as if I was watching a broken down Kentucky Derby winner try to race. It was really sad the way time caught up to JR. Robbing us fans of seeing his greatness first hand.
  19. For some reason I always loved Piazza. I always made sure to come to at least 1 Reds vs Mets game just to see him. He was electric because he was the most average looking person I've ever seen do what he did. Then you get to Griffey who could have been the greatest player of all time if he didn't miss all those games in Cincy. Everytime I went to the ballpark it was always special to watch him play. I would love to see his hat backwards in that plaque, it would only be fitting.
  20. Going into the season I thought Skal was going to be the difference maker, he has a heck of an offensive skill threat that many centers don't have. But his problem is that all centers have what he doesn't have, strength in the post. The guy is soft. Hard to play at the 5 when you can't even remotely hold your own in the paint. This team is still going to make the tournament so I'm not too worried. Probably will be between a 6-9 seed. Thy have moments of brilliance which is why I think UK will be fine. The NIT team didn't have any moments where I felt comfortable with them.
  21. Every other year is like this, it's clockwork. Next year they'll be unbeatable again, then the next it will be like this year. Rinse and repeat
  22. They walked in and acted like they were going to blow them out of the gym. This team isn't good enough to do that. Brutal game all around
  23. I do love that the SEC is back on track this year, and I've always been one of those that pounds my SEC chest everytime they win a bowl. But it's getting kind of redundant to me. I was at the Music City bowl the year UK beat FSU, I couldnt believe all the SEC chants during the game. As a UK fan my last worry was about chanting SEC , it was a weird experience. But along with the BBall analogy, I do find myself cheering for more SEC teams then not during the tournament.
  24. Bama has always had a huge DLine, but they never were this fast. Their line play is ridiculous on both sides.
