Keaton Belcher is one of the best at making meaninful connections at the next level and he will work hard for those kids. Great coach to play for if you have aspirations to play at next level.

PC historically has proven to be a tough out in the region tournament. I expect that to continue with this group. Belcher's Bombers are a fun group to watch.

Michael Antrobus breaks his brother's record of numbers of threes in a season in this one. 8th grader Dontaie Allen scores 34 on his return from injury. This kid is going to be something to behold. 8th grader who is extremely driven and only getting better. Congrats to Coach Belcher and the young men from PC.

Let’s be realistic, anything can happen at tournament time. If anyone should know this better than the rest it should be Mason County. They have had a great year but that doesn't mean on a given night that someone can’t beat them. You just never know in a one game scenario. If there are upsets at the District level, they could easily face a top 4 team in the first round of Region. First thing they need to do is take care of business in the District. Taking it one game at a time is the best strategy. Getting past St. Pat should be their only focus at this point.

On paper PC and Harrison have to be happy. Games aren't played on paper though...I'm sure there are some Robertson County young men who will be ready to protect their home turf to the fullest extent for this game. As a PC native I say best of luck to Coach Belcher in districts! He and his staff have done a great job this year.

Campbell vs Pendleton GRC vs Mason Pendleton has beat Mason this year and lost to Campbell. Campbell has defeated both Pendleton and Mason in regular season. I confess to not knowing much about the GRC freshman team but 77 points in a game is no joke.

Should be a good one tomorrow at PC. I would think this would bring a good crowd.

Credit Pendleton County for coming out with fire and putting to shame the foolishness of "running clock" talk. That's an effort put in by the Wildcats that deserves to be respected and sends notice to the 38th district and region. Credit Mason County for taking the A+ shot of a good shooting team for a half and having the ability to fight back and win. If you're on top you will take everyones best shot. What matters is how you respond to it. They responded with a win. Impressive.

I've been to a lot of 9th region games and there has been jawing back and forth. I can think of two examples this season where it got near out of hand. But let's act like it is just a Pig Williams thing???

As a neutral observer at the LexCath game, here is what I noticed. Henry missed his first couple of shots and started to defer. Then he picked up his 2nd foul early in the 2nd quarter. I would call it more of a little loss of confidence and aggressiveness than a lack of getting him the ball. He got touches early in second half. Or at least it seemed like to me. I give credit to LexCath’s defense for swarming him all night. With that being said, nothing is guaranteed at tourney time and the Royals must work through these things if they want to advance.

Big win for the Colts in the finals of the Berea Tournament. Siah Holifield takes tournament MVP with a 24 point 12 rebound performance in the finals.

Tanner Daugherty missed all of the summer. James Wolfe missed most of it. Michael Antrobus missed a good chunk as well with an ankle. Three varsity pieces. Also Caleb Baumgartner and Mason Dennie missed the last half due to injury. They were both dressing varsity. They had everyone for Bracken County besides Daugherty. They ended the summer with a losing record. It will take some time for sure but like I said there are some good years ahead I believe and Coach Belcher will be the right one to get it back on track.

Injuries really hurt PC over the summer. I would expect them to continue to build an identity over the next season. Future could be bright at PC with what's coming through the pipe line.

Under the direction of Kerry Stovall, this team was selected by the KABC Coaches of the Year from each region and not one specific person. Your "conspiracy theory" as to why Bach did not make this team is far from true. With only seven players they dominated the Juniors on Monday night. The addition of Snider, Green, and Johnson will be huge additions once they arrive.

King James was up 81-6 today against East Bama according to twitter. I would say no matter how bad the team that's pretty impressive. Wow.

Younger brother. Grant is definitely want to watch for the incoming Freshman. Really versatile game. Can do a little bit of everything.

Could not agree more with this statement. Unless it would be someone who would be trusted 100% by Keaton it could be a negative and greatly hurt the program. It HAS to be the right fit. Wirth seems to be the logical/easy choice. I would expect it to be him.

No doubt in my mind Keaton will do a great job. There are some good coaches in that building that Keaton will be able to get on staff and or lean on for guidance.

Well said. We should root for Kentucky teams because it only helps the perception that there is some good basketball in this state...which there is. Very excited to see Manimal win KnoxVegas and to have 6/7 Kentucky teams in 16U make the knockout stages? Great! Tough to make rankings right now but suffice to say AAU State will be amazing. I know 6 or 7 at 16U level that have a chance to take the trophy. Exciting times.
