Rebounders can enter the lane upon release of the ball by the free throw shooter. Any idea when it changed to when the ball hit the rim? My wife graduated in 1990 and it was on release then. There was several years when we didn't keep up with HS basketball. When we started attending again, it was when it hits the rim. That has always irritated my wife. She is glad it is going back to the release.

I didn't realize the guy calling the game with Larry also writes for the Madison Courier. I guess he's like Rob from last year.

It was 4th and goal from the 1 with 7 seconds left. Carroll's QB got hurt on previous play so Cam Rose stepped in at QB and went in on a QB sneak. That made the score 34-30 with no time remaining. Carroll led 28-14 at the half. It was an all Trimble 2nd half until Carroll's last drive. They took the ball 79 yards in about 2 mins. Raiders had problems defending the pass.

Game can be heard on 95.3 WIKI or on TriStateInternetSportsRadio. Should be a good game with playoff implications.

Didn't Carroll go ahead with 51 seconds to go? How did Owen score on their last drive? Never mind. I read too much into a tweet. Carroll scored with 51 seconds to go to narrow the gap. My bad.

I made the comment during summer ball that the Lady Raiders will need to go 7 deep in order to have success this season. Since then they've picked up Clark which really helps that cause. It will be interesting to see how things play out. As you mentioned about Williamstown and their district, Trimble County has had their own problems getting out of the 29th with the Oldhams.

I agree. It is not about the announcer, band, cheerleaders, fans or anyone else. It's about what's happening on the hardwood. Everything else is to enhance the experience. I do think the team in white deserves a home court advantage.

its good to see that the KHSAA doesn't want fans to get excited about their product. I guess they're happy serving a vanilla flavored home game.

She is developing into a nice player. My daughter had some workouts with her over the summer. Also, no one should rule out Oldham and South Oldham in the 8th. I'm sure by the time we hit the district tourneys, one or both will have things figured out.

They're fine with someone else being the target.

There are some good teams in the 8th. A lot of the good ones from last year graduated several per team. South Oldham won the region last year but graduated several. I look for Oldham to make some noise. Owen graduated five, but they still have Carson so they're going to get some attention.

I know this is an old post, but I thought I would share a little about the Trimble County gym. This gets a little confusing. The current TCHS was built and opened in the early 1970s. It housed the high school until 1981 when a new school was completed. This school became the high school and Trimble County Middle moved into the high school. Sometime in the mid to late 1990s, the middle and high schools swapped as the older building made a much nicer high school than the new building did. Now, as far as gyms go, the Raiders play in the high school gym built in the early 70s. Even when they were at the newer building with a smaller gym, most games during that period were played at the gym built in the 70s. It seats around 2,200 and had lighting upgrades and floor restoration just a few years ago. See, I told you this was confusing.

I believe when talking 8th, Oldham would be in the mix. South won the region last year but they graduated quite a few as did a lot of the top teams in the region.

Clinton Co forces a safety with 10:55 to go in the game. They now lead Trimble Co 26-20.

I don't have any details, but I heard they won. Score was something like 30-6 but that's unofficial.
