Walton-Verona 2014/15

Featured Replies

Basketball season for 2014/2015 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from W-V? Remember, please be constructive.

Should be a good year for the Ladycats. They will hopefully keep everyone healthy starting off the season this year.

Not sure how Luebee's rehab is going but hopefully shoe comes back 100%.

They will need someone to step in and fill the void at point guard.

Look for maybe DeZarn to step in and run some point. Good Luck this season.

The Bearcats will be the overwhelming favorite to win the 8th Region All A, and will be one of the favorites to win the 8th Region. Much of this depends on being able to fill the vacated point guard spot, and the healthy return of Luebbe.

Lack of a true point guard will hurt them. I suspect they will see a lot of presses this year.

One of the best coaching staff's in NKY.

Agreed! The Bearcats will be a very well coached and well prepared team.

Completely agree. :thumb:

Looking at Walton's schedule and I noticed that at least 13 of their first 15 games are on the road. They don't play their first home game until the 6th game in on Dec 13th, and they don't play their second home game until after the new year on Jan 2nd. Of those 13 early season away games, they play the likes of Paul Laurence Dunbar, Boone County, Gallatin, Campbell County, Cooper, Owensboro Catholic (at Conner) Highlands (at Conner).

That is crazy. Hopefully it will do well to prepare them for finishing strong the last half of the season. They will be road battle tested for sure.

I will have to start saving up those Kroger fuel points. :thumb:

With the transfer of Clark from henry to Trimble, I think trimble has just narrowed the gap.

Or.......possibly become the favorites themselves.

Why not? They are the defending 8th Region All A champs. The tournament is being held on their home floor. And its suit me fine if they want to wear the target.

They're fine with someone else being the target.

The so-called favorite has not won it the past 2 seasons. Being the favorite is not always a good thing.
