Oldham County is open in the 8th region

They are not happening till this weekend

Simple RCC9 they have not been to his camp, if you notice some programs have 5-6 kids on there because some coaches send groups so they can play together. I would not worry about the list, play with a good AAU team, you will land somewhere. Hard to see every kid out there. We have some good young players in the 8th that are not on there and better than some that are that is just how it works

Think Oldham is just to slow to contain Shelby's running game, Shelby by 17+ but close for a while, Shelby has to stop turning the ball over, killed them in week 1 and very uncharacteristic

Kennedy Igo from Moco Jasmine Flowers I think from Bath Co Both of these were 8th graders last year Maliyaah Owens is the girl from Scott Co, I think she lead GRC in scoring last year, but transferred back to Scott Co, not for sure. All are really nice players and young players

Best player for Clark County transferred back to Scott County I heard, if that is true I would say it is Mason's to lose. Outside those top 4 teams the region is not very good. I did see Clark Co this summer and they looked good. Igo makes them very good at the guard spot, and the district they are in is really bad

Sam Conley will not be there in high school, right now he is because it does not hurt his eligibility. They don't live in Spencer County, he may end up at Fern Creek but Spencer will not be his destination. Coach Burns is doing a good job with what he has, but they have yet to get out of the district, this is his 4th year I believe, they should be seeing the fruits of their labor. They were a possession away last year from beating Anderson in district tournament. That district will always be a war

Neice had a great summer, she did however deal with some injury stuff in the spring, but one of the better juniors in the state period

Treyvon is not going anywhere, he will play at Mercer and be a D1 player period. Whomever they hire they better make the decision quickly. I would think that hiring and intern basis for a year would be best scenario. Then you have more time in the spring to make best decision. When saying that the assistants at Mercer are not quality assistants is false Moco with Happy won over 30 game final 4 Moco with Holland went 29-3 Mercer with Cook lost 2 total games Head coaches don't win without quality people around them

Which ones have been head coaches other than Maze? I have heard of all of them, and they been trying to be head coaches for a while. Just don't see any of them happening, might be wron

Don't think they will hire an AAU coach, might be wrong, completely different beast coaching high school basketball, fundraising, budget, parents, supervisors, middle school program, elementary program

Coach Drury's name is on the court, ENOUGH said, not many coaches can say that, easily one of the best coaches out there, and by the way has done it the right way in his tenure. Has won multiple regions, and was just in the final, it seems he is still doing a lot right. Tough district to compete in on top of dealing with Scott Co, Bullitt East, Oldham for all those years. Anderson will be one of about 4-5 schools that can win the region.

They remained because they had transferred a total of about 3-4 times I imagine they might of been ineligible but who knows. I just want to see these new young coaches stay at a school, DEVELOP their own talent, build good middle school programs, just doesn't seem to happen anymore, total of about 5-6 kids that all can play at the next level, just by accident I am sure. Everyone does seem to be doing it so go for it if that is what you want

Totally agree, but he coached at Lawrence Co the year before, of course they couldn't beat those 2 teams, just referencing kids magically ending up at those schools, pretty sure they both are from another state, and didn't Gillis end up at Mercer?

What about Dalton boys from Lawrence County? And I believe that Bowling Green was just as good as both of them, play 10 times Bowling Green wins 5

Better job as terms of getting back to what he is used to, good administration, serious about athletics more than anyone can imagine, in a good way, money for sports programs. Just a better job and his last stop in my opinion.

She wasnt one of the names I heard but she would be a good hire, never know. She was a stud for Carroll County and played for one of the good ones

Agree Hydraman, at one time the KHSAA went by % of who lead the state for minimum attempts shot as a preference. Now it is how many they make per game, example 3.2 I think lead the state. Seems as if we worry about how many makes instead of making a high percentage.

Thought you would know, after all you said you knew the region well. But anyway (3) people are interviewing, starting tomorrow. All 3 have head coaching experience and would do a good job, not allowed to say who they are as I promised them I would not

When post season arrives it should be the same for everyone. Indiana has total control over their post season and it is fair to all involved. Kentucky has some much different post season stuff it is crazy Blind draws, seeding, playing 1 time as to 2, not playing at all, drawing for region on Saturday some on Sunday, Some drawing before results come out of districts, the list goes on and on. Make it the same for all student athletes

One of the reasons why it is hard to comment on a region this early is because you never know how the spring and summer will shake out. Coaching changes, players leaving etc,

Very observant PP1 maybe you are truly the pink panther. New AD Jon Kasten wanted to start with a fresh face, and hopefully breathe some life into the program. I really thought with Coach Blanton working his butt of the last 10 years would have meant more than it did. Understand the thinking behind it. Good luck to the new coach. Henry has some young talent, and compete for that district for once.
