An HC vs Dunbar finals would pit 2 coaches that's never won a region title correct? Both have had nice teams in the past but never got over the hump. That would be a dandy storyline.

Yes youth is why I left them out. Hard to imagine them stringing 3 wins together in that field. Not saying they won't but extremely difficult.

The game was at west. The FT's might have played into west's strategy. Someone that was there would need to confirm that.

Mtb19, great idea for a thread!! The parity in the 10th has made the regular season very exciting and unpredictable. I'm siding with Randy, the 6 thru 10 teams can beat a top 5 team, due to matching up well . However it will be extremely hard for these teams to win 3 in a row. I was hammered for applauding Mason Co's close loss to Lex Cath. My theory is what makes this thread so good. Playing in region games against other average region teams this year really doesn't help you. Competitive loses against top 20 state caliber teams will prepare you even more this year to win the region title. Strength of schedule this year really means a lot. I can see the region winner having double digit loses, or be a .500 type team. It will take a favorable draw for the 10th region winner to advance at the state tournament.

If jones plays Moco by 6. If he doesn't play, GRC by 3.

Dunbar is way to quick and active on defence for the Generals. If Dunbar's engaged on the defensive end, their hard to handle.

Moco has lost to everyone that they should/could have. They haven't beat anyone that they really shouldn't have. Scott co maybe, but that was early in the year. If they played today I would pick Scott co due to their improvement. The region winner could easily have a below .500 record, along with 10+ loses.

How many regions play at a neutral site? (College arena ect ect)

I'll take mason by 5. Mason matches up well with Paris, due to not having a true center. It should be a dandy.

They shoot in some games close to 30 three's, crazy/fun to watch at the hs level. Jones continues to score no matter who the opponent is. Kid works hard on both ends.

Good line-up Randy. Your top 5 no matter the order are on the money. Out of region losses to average or above average teams are NOT a bad thing to any team in the 10th region. This region is what it is. This week is the first where I felt comfortable picking a top group. With that said, the next could arguably beat any of the top 5 in a one game setting.

4 of the top 5 teams in the 10th lost last night. 3 out of region and the other 2 battled to a 4 point win/loss. 1 and 4 Yea any loss is bad, but the region is so equal that you might have gained ground taking a loss to a quality program.

I agree, there's a lot of kids with similar size and skill sets. That's hard to find minutes in a situation like that for everyone. The deepest team in paris for years. They may have the deepest bench in 10th region

Im not sure of the state, but no doubt the best 3 win team in 10th region. But you are probably right All In.
