Mercer County beat West Jessamine 88-44 the first time they played this season.

District Championchip could be interesting. Where is that played this year?

Sounds like it was a good ol' good one. (That was for PP92; that's how they talk out here in the hinterlands).

Saw on Twitter that Dylan James passed 2,000 points for his career tonight.

Great game. West always improves by the end of the year.

District is @ Mercer County this year.

West Jessamine is an average to above average team, with a great coach, that wanted revenge after having been embarrassed earlier by a district rival. Mercer came to play like they were 44 points better than their foe. That pretty much explains why it played out the way it did. Mercer was extremely fortunate to get out of there with a W.

I think this will help Mercer in the long run, including if they play West again in the district championship. I don't think they'll approach that game the same way.

Siah Holifield having a very good year for West Jessamine. Seems to always have good stats. Very good player!! Impressive outing for West Jess and for Mercer for showing the toughness to answer the bell when challenged. 12th region is a heck of a region!

I would like to see some stats I was at the game I would guess Mercer scored 25-30 points from the FT line. Mercer also had a net of 4 points from T's called in the game West Jessamine's coach got a T for protesting a block charge call two refs made the call one had a block and the other had a charge went with the block then T on coach. Also a player on both sides got a T. All FT's were made by both sides plus Mercer scored on one of the two possessions after the T. Fun game to watch. Two kids from West Jessamine Holfield and Okosson can really shoot the ball, and the Faulkner kid from Mercer just flat out took over the game the last 3 minutes he was unstopped.

Few more stats:

Conner Souder had two points for Mercer.

Titans were 40-of-50 (!!) from the line. Faulkner was 17-for-18.

Colts were 14-of-21 from the line, hit seven threes (six were from Okesson).

I've been a big fan of Okesson since the first time I saw him play when he was a freshman. I love seeing him play at a high level at the varsity level. He is a lot of fun to watch.

First time I saw him play really liked his game. One thing I did not understand he had to sit a lot of the first half due to two early fouls understood that, but did not understand him sitting a good portion of ht 4th qt.

Was even more than I thought.

IMO Mercer County might be just too talented for anyone to give them a serious run. However, their schedule might come back to bite them. They haven't played many close games but as I said...it might not matter.
