Thanks for all the updates. I must admit that I was at the game. Cochran pitch a gem for six innings. Everyone took a deep breath and said a prayer for BW shortstop when he got hit in the face. Must have hit a seem in the infield, how else do you get a bad hop like that at the Freedom Field.

B town has talented kids and a great coach. Should be a tuff game for the birds today. Need good pitching and error free baseball.

It's my understanding that Highlands sit 4 starters to begin the game. This was by far the best competition that they will face in South Carolina.

According to all these comments, Covington Catholic has to be the sleep of the tournament. Team has depth and can play. Should make it to the semi against Wayne County. I taking them to go all the way and become one of the few 9th regional teams to do so.

Cov Cath very impressive with closing out the tournament as Champions. Sarasota showed it's class with Dick Vitale sitting at half court and presenting the Championship trophy. Lot of people talking about the style of Kentucky basketball vs. Florida. It's going to be a war when the 9th region rolls around, wish I could be there. Congratulations to the Colonels and hope that they enjoyed there winter vacation.
