A Moeller parent said their only 2 losses before yesterday were to Elder

CCH LF made a terrific catch to end the game. Moe had bases loaded. If it falls, the game is certainly tied. If it gets past him, it may have been a walk off for Moe.

Ben Heppler was 3 for 4. Went 6 for 8 for the day and picked up the W on the mound. That's a day.

Soph Nick Bennett took the loss for Moeller. He's 6'4 and throws between 83 and 86. #3 overall player in Ohio for the class of 2016. Going to be a stud by his senior year.

 

"I have visited Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, and here Cincinnati," Bennett said. "I'll probably also visit Vanderbilt and LSU."

Moeller brought 30 Varsity players to the game.... sure would be nice to have a #8 starter on your varsity roster...

 

Agree with jpa, always good for the N.Ky schools to show well against their much larger counterparts across the river...

Moeller's pitching depth is phenomenal. As I posted earlier Bennett is a high D1 prospect but with the depth Moe has this was his first outing in quite a while at the varsity level.

In 2 games, I know 6 guys threw a "pen" during the games.

Sounds like he has a chance to be a first round pick. 6'3'', 175 lefty sophomore with room to grow. He was throwing 87-88 on Saturday but struggled with off speed stuff.

 

Moeller brought in their #10 pitcher for relief who was sitting at 84-85. Evidently, he has only pitched 8 innings all year.
