After a slow start the Colonels dominate the rest of the way winning the Suncoast Holiday Classic in Sarasota Florida remaining undefeated on the season.

Ruthsatz 19

Schuh 14

CVH 13

Heppler 12

Schulz 7

Heppler and Ruthsatz both with 4 3's

.....

Ben Heppler has been shooting the lights out the last few weeks. A great kick option for Ruth when he is attacking. Colonels really played well in Florida to bring home the hardware.

Covcath will likely come in to the Holmes game undefeated...should be a great game. Colonels are playing as good as anyone right now.

True and it's no fluke either. The kid can flat out shoot. Other than the Campbell County game where he didn't connect on 3 - 3 ball attempts, he's been brilliant from behind the arc with 23/41 from 3 land for an average around 56% on the season. Of 8 games so far he's only shot under 50% from the 3 in 3 games where in two games in a row he went 100% with 4/4 and 5/5 from the 3.

He sure is consistent and dependable, and like you said a great kick option for Ruthsatz.

Best thing about Hepp this year is his willingness to deck it if you close-out out of control. He was a one-trick pony last year but he has really worked on his game and his body.

I'm a fan of both Heppler boys. Nothing flashy about their game but those two along with Wichmann and Schult are the definition of "Blue Collar Players."

Blue Colonels playing VERY good to this point.....CONGRATS. The Holmes and NewCath games should be worth the price of admission, all I can say is if you're going get the VERY early.

Luckily for us, Holmes v Covcath is at Holmes in a gym that doesn't have that problem. :lol2: ;)

If it's anything like the Holmes/NewCath game last year yes it will, at least the parking, I'm not a fan of the long walk. :lol2:

I would expect the NewCath at CovCath game to reach the point the old "sold out" posters will be hung on the doors. Not sure they've been hung since Ben Guidugli's senior year at Highlands when the Birds came a-calling. I could be wrong, but I don't remember an official sell out since then. I'm sure TOG can correct me if I'm wrong.

Last time I personally saw a "sold out" sign was in 2004/2005 season when Holmes played at Covcath.

Bovard, Tierney, Jacobs v Hill, Jefferson, Rice, Edmondson...Edmondson lit it up the first half with Holmes leading then didn't touch the ball 2nd half. Covcath wins by 2.

Parking is one thing that is terrible at almost all high school gyms outside of Ryle and maybe Cooper.

HATE the parking at Boone.
