Madison County wasn't on the original schedule as being part of it so maybe they were a last minute addition. How did HHS D look? I know it is hard to tell on these type of things but considering last year then need to upgrade.

Interesting idea about Hoge going to WR but I think you want your best athlete to have the ball every play. Kendall and Daughtery(sp) I'm guessing are the running backs. Good combo of power and speed. Any seniors at running back that I'm missing?

Agreed. There is a "distance" factor of equipment and seating area in football that you don't have in other sports. In Baseball/B-ball everyone is nearly on the field of play and umps/refs are right there for everyone to give their opinions. I think tempers flare as well when the opposing teams seats are close to each other.

Looks like first day of spring practice was full pads. Just passing glance seemed like the D had more bodies this year.

A lot of 8th graders. Did they cut a lot of frosh or were numbers down? I know at least a couple that didn't try out this year.

Yep. They scored on a opening kickoff fumble and then next HHS possession when they fumbled again. First 2-min 14-0. After that neither team got past the 50 yard line. It wasn't a thing of beauty for either side. Just saying.

With my limited knowledge from the HHS JV view of the world it sounds like positions have been set for most players. Of course this could change once spring practice starts.

Isn't there a longer "dead" period now between seasons Catholic schools? Or is this just during summer break?
