Just curious, but is the Crosstown Showdown in week 0 or week 1? It would be interesting to see if it was week 1 if Gamble could set up a good match up.

I'm not sure if Boyle has a game that week but if not I'd love to see this series started back up. I need a good excuse to come back to Ft. Thomas.

I would rather Highlands play a home game against another power at Home. Always better to play in the Bird dome than in an empty college or pro stadium. Hopefully they can fill it with another game for TV.

The Crosstown Showdown is always the game of last resort for the Birds, because we never want to give away our gate - I get that; however, a juicy matchup in game against a solid opponent and having to give Gamble a piece of the pie beats an open date. Although we have been fortunate in the past with situations like this (see Scott County in 2012) filing voids in year 2 of 2 year contracts can be tough.

Any reason given for UC not coming to playing this year? I thought it was a two year deal.

It would be cool to see Highlands play a GCL opponent. Or perhaps one of the solid Louisville teams. Good luck finding a KY team to play though...
