I was up there this morning and they have a crew working on the stands. Looks like they are replacing some of the seating and tighting things up. Highlands needs for a Flordia team to come up every year! (granted they did paint the stands last year, just saying)

Parents/supporters of HHS fund this themselves. I received my letter last week. Between organized parties and donations all transporation is covered.

From what I have heard on BGP so far is that the entire CocCath freshman could start Varsity this year. And win!

Does Harvard give out full rides for Football? Was watching a Jemery Lin story and it mentioned that Harvard b-ball doesn't give scholarships.

I think CovCath and Highlands football are doing ok without wrestling. There are numerous threads in BGP talking to Highlands not being competitive in baseball and b-ball. Trying to get a support for another sport at school the size of HS will be tough.

Those two are competing already. They will be competing for playing time so it will be interesting how the coaches use them.

And highlands will keep winning championships.

They have a few big ones (Cole Murphy and Trey King plus a few others) your right that overall it is smaller group.

Totally agree. i'm hoping in has grown a couple inches as some of the other kids are starting too. Several times last year he got in trouble and was able to either get a first down or score just on pure speed while making defenders look foolish.

Yes. However he was the 2nd team QB for the 8th grade all star game.

Most of the 8th graders that didn't make baseball are now back in weight room. I haven't heard anything about transfers coming in for next year. I'm worried about QB and hoping something might happen here...

First cuts are today...

There are tons of 8th graders trying out this year. It will be interesting to see how many freshman they push up to JV and replace with the 8th graders. They have these kids interested and if some of them can play I'm wondering how many they give a shot to.

I know several Highlands players played SWOL during the season.
