Also, if we are talking all-time I put the 7-3 upset win over PT in '89 in there considering PT had a load of talent/ recruits etc. The Tornado were stunned. The UK bball win over Ohio St. a few years ago in the tourney was similar in my mind.

Don't forget the 12-7 win over Cincy St. X on T.V. in '09.

Nothing "going on". Simply put, this class has a lot of room for improvement in every phase of the game. This particular class has always been weak athletically IMO. The teams played 10 minute quarters.

I respect both schools, but will be rooting for Trinity b/c they are representing KY. I always root for KY high schools when playing out of state competition. Now, being from NKY I would root on any NKY school in the playoffs. However, when it comes to college athletics I will root for UC or X over Louisville, EKU etc. I am a graduate of UK & XU, but have always rooted for UC when not playing one of my schools.

No way Scott Co. Gets ranked ahead of Highlands. Birds beat the Cards like 66-28 last yr. and Highlands did not get worse. Now, if Scott Co. improved that much in the offseason then I would be shocked.

Hopefully, all the Colonels get healthy soon. No shame in losing to Moeller, not many NKY schools sign up for that duty. Hang in there T.OG., I know how much each season means to you. See you in a couple weeks when the Birds visit.

Trinity is still #1 in KY for 3 reasons: 1. Their losses are to top 25 nationally ranked teams 2. Nobody from KY has beaten them - gotta beat the best to be the best. 3. They defeated Highlands in a scrimmage by at least 2 scores and HHS is at least #4 in KY, if not higher. T, BG, & X being the others... Not taking anything away from an impressive BG win over X. JMO

Facts from DCM: All of the complaints about the PA volume, awkward interview moment, the song choice (I agree with Q tho) replay snafu's etc, folks/fans need to remember the media/broadcasting students are learning, working, figuring things out. Mr. Poff is an amazing teacher and is having those kids run the show completely! I think they are learning and getting some valuable lessons/experience working the games. Even the barge horn used is hooked up and then an air compressor is run to get that thing to work. All done by a student. Hayes will not be moving to D right or wrong. Trust me, if he was needed on D in any way he'd be there! The real truth is that that D has played great without 2 of the best. No Seth Hope or Cowboy Abner, two leaders/studs and yet 25 pts total in 2 games and there have several times they have to battle with a short field. Wait until Abner & Wrobleski play together, folks are gonna be sore! Feggins gets his touches and may very well deserve more, but at HHS you play as a team! Think of all the options to use the 75-80 plays on...Here are some: Harris, Feggins, Greene, Hayes, Hoge, Hergott, Weyer. Do the math. I can say pretty confidently that Jensen is not thinking about himself. 2 hours before the game he is on the field tossing with Freshmen/sophs having fun. Kyle Martin & Joey Kruse are cousins and are good ball players! I love watching them play. Rocco Pangallo is the nicest/most polite student I have met in 15 years at school. Nick Kendall's 92yd kickoff ret. Was fun to watch! Jared Dougherty's ability to kick the ball in the end zone forces the opponent to earn 5-6 more 1st downs a series. He is an extremely good athlete and is a weapon!

Mex, I realize Sutkamp(Johnson elem)would be a great addition to the Birds D, but while folks are drooling...I'll say this NCC fans would drool over having Thomas Wrobleski (St. Thomas), Ryan Greene (St. Joe's), and Zach Harris (St. Catherine). Disclaimer: I may be wrong on a couple of these elementary schools?

I am with VOR on this one. I will be rooting for Highlands as usual, but always pull for teams from KY & teams from NKY down state in the playoffs. I will add that sometimes I root against NCC just to get under my older brothers skin. :thumb:

Well, sometimes his posts do not make it seem that way.

It does not matter this year, last year, or any other year. The last time it mattered is 2000 when it was a real game that was played at Trinity. Ill bet that most coaches use scrimmages to work on things, get reps etc. BTW- any team would be called "down" considering what they lost to graduation the last couple of seasons...Plus, A perceived "down" Trinity team is still extremely good. Finally, I am pretty sure Whackem' is not a Highlands fan.
