Looks god but I'd swap HHS and Scott Co

I doubt male is that low, as I stated before the season male is a big time sleeper school.

1. Bowling Green

2. Trinity

3. Highlands

4. St X

5. Scott County

6. Simon Kenton

7. Male

8. Boyle County

9. Johnson Central

10. LexCath

11. Conner

12. Collins

13. Central

14. Belfry

15. Mayfield

A few notes:

-Male is legit

- CovCath would be up in this list if not for the Bir injury as the 2nd best 4A team

- People overlook Johnson Central since they are in Highland's region.. same blowouts that Boyle and LexCath face..just a round earlier..but they have went toe to toe with CovCath and this year is one of the strongest Eagles teams yet.

I agree. I think Male is too low. Solid list except for that.

Love the top 6...think it's right on.

I can agree with that. I know it's a different season and they're both different teams but it's hard to not take in to account what Highlands did to Scott County last season.

What if this is the year no favorite won state?

Would be quite an upset the way Bowling Green has been playing.

I thought the hardest to rank at the top were the #4-6 teams.

Lots of teams could make a strong case for #10-15.

Is there anyone who has seen Male and Simon Kenton play? When I made my list I had Male pretty low as well but I am admittedly ignorant to Male and how good they may be. If as some suggest they should be in the 5-8 range then I had to ask if they would beat Simon Kenton.

Mine are for now:

1. Bowling Green

2. Trinity

3. Highlands

4. Scott County

5. St. X

6. Simon Kenton

7. Male

8. Boyle County

9. Collins

One team I think we may be underrating is Belfry. The Pond Creek Nation got a big road win over Harlan County, which was somewhat unexpected given the youth on their team. I look for them to be locked in a showdown with Central for all the marbles when it's all said and done.

True but how do they fare amongst the best in the state? Big win over Harlan County but a majority don't believe in the 5A class as a whole. I'd be shocked if anyone has more than two 5A teams in their top 15.

For me, it's more that they won at Harlan County, which is no easy place to play. That, coupled with the fact that Belfry wasn't supposed to be this good this early makes me think they'll be a load once things really get rolling.

The way they play ball control, they keep the opposing team's offense off of the field and shorten the game.

Phillip Haywood is a great coach whose proven his worth as well.
