  1. Looks like EKU is trying to get ahead of the game. I was talking to Dunn's father at lunch the other day and he made comment that they were only taking 4 from the class of 2014. Hunter is high on that short list along with Schreiver then. Pretty good, that 2 of the 4 could possibly come from the "So Called" weak NKY/Tri State area.
  2. Don't forget Brossart returns Nate Verst also. If I'm not mistaken he was one of their top pitcher's, if not their top pitcher last year.
  3. Huge difference from just 2-3 weeks ago. Tight 1st game and an absolute beat down the 2nd. Who would have thunk it!!!
  4. Walton St. Henry SK Highland Park CCH Ryle These would be from a fielding perspective. Don't see to many bad hops at those parks compared to the others.
  5. Really like Dixie's field, but I think over the past few years it's gotten a little rough.
  6. Good call with the Everett kid. They have another kid that doesn't seem to get the props he should and that is the Wells kid. Very solid pitcher and I would say he's actually better than Everett, and that's saying a lot considering how well Everett pitched last year.
  7. I agree with everything for the most part Hellbird. But to question their pitching would be confusing to me. They return all they had last year and I would think would add a little more. They were pretty solid from what I can remember. There is rumor and I will keep it as rumor that 1 of there top pitchers may be moving to Boone. If that happens they will lose a solid pitcher and defensive player. It is only rumor, but would be a tough one to lose.
  8. Looks like everyone except you have went with teams that should have the better pitching. I feel pitching and defense wins game. CovCath may be the only one I look at and don't really know what they have. New Cath has probably the best 1-2 punch, Highlands has a very solid 1, Ryle should be strong all througout and Cooper as I have said before might have the deepest and have a very solid 1 through 3.
  9. I wouldn't say probably, I would say no way. Good kid, bad break.
  10. If done properly, the arms should be fine. The proper warm-up and the proper way to GET warmed up should prevent that from happening.
  11. That's a good one Colonel!!! Here is the one I was actually talking about. Click link below!
  12. My only question is can it be done on turf since that's where the 9th Region plays? Turf changes that strategy IMO. This works for CCH until they hit the turf. This actually affects a few teams that like to play small ball in the region. Once again this is just an observation.
  13. That sounds like a very solid game for the Jags. Don't they have some key players dinged up?
  14. Just was wondering what your not sure about?
  15. I totally agree that this will be done and should jpa. The only problem is, is that this works great on natural grass fields but on turf seems to be just a little tougher.
  16. Clyde....Pull up Alan Jaeger on Youtube and you will see guys throwing from endzone to endzone with ease. It's a certain longtoss program he developed. My friend that used to coach at Cooper showed this to me. Colleges and even MLB teams are going to his program.
  17. Congrats to BG on the class 5A State Title! Also congrats go out to the Jags! Great run and no reason to hang your heads what-so-ever.
  18. Congrats to Bowling Green!!! Also, congrats to Cooper on a GREAT season!!!
  19. I'm going to say 21 -17 Cooper in a thriller!!!
  20. They might be GOOD, but they are in no way in the class of most of the names mentioned. Not trying to down them but let's be real!!!
  21. Congrats to the Cooper Jaguars and Coach Borchers and Staff!!! 1 more to take!!!
  22. BTW.....I do route for Cooper's programs and Boone's programs. I am friends with a couple fathers which one kid goes to Boone and the other goes to Cooper.

  24. I just posed a question. I responded to a comment on how I would feel. If you read in one of my post, I am totally aware that an ACE can take your team down. That's why I say baseball is a funny game. This was not by any means meant to knock the coach at all. I would agree that they should be better if anything other than just in game experience, since they didn't lose too many kids.
  25. Sorry Hellbird........But to say a coach wouldn't feel pressure IMO is silly. Most of the other programs within the school have had success whether it is boys or girls sports. I coached many years within an organization and you can't tell me if all the other teams within the organization are doing well and I wasn’t that pressure wouldn't be felt. I don't buy in to the "5 Year" comment. They have more than enough talent to at least win a district title. I know baseball is a funny game but they need to achieve and not under achieve, as you mentioned in an earlier post.
