A friend of mine has a son who just graduated and will play D1 ball in California next season. I saw a video of the kid throwing the ball 300 feet in the air.

Not really. We used to do this during baseball tryouts on the football field. I think my furthest was like 96 yards. There was a little tailwind one day but one kid threw it 114. Goal line to out of the endzone.

Wow. Seems like a long way.

Throwing it 300 feet+ accurately is where you separate the elite from the good.

I have seen several throw it 300. I had an older cousin throw one from a fence that was 330 feet to home on a small bounce and it was on line to get a runner out.

In college we threw long toss the length of the turf football field daily.

Exactly. That's what is important.

Im not impressed with this since he is a d1 player and 18I throwing a baseball. I tried this after seeing the post. Im 25not and threw a softball every bit of 275ft on a line

I read somewhere if you could throw a ball 85mph , you can throw it 300 ft. I can still do it and I'm 50.

Clyde....Pull up Alan Jaeger on Youtube and you will see guys throwing from endzone to endzone with ease. It's a certain longtoss program he developed. My friend that used to coach at Cooper showed this to me. Colleges and even MLB teams are going to his program.
