  1. Clyde.......That is exactly what I was trying to say!
  2. Is Bieger of Cooper feeling the heat with the achievements of the Basketball and Football teams?
  3. OK.......give them 8 more points at the most and they still lose.
  4. Cooper Regional Champs!!!!
  5. The only negative thing I had heard from a friend of a Cooper parent was there was some unclassy play by 1 or more of the Anderson players. Great win for Cooper and Northern Kentucky. All I can say is maybe the teams down south need to learn how to lose a game.
  6. From what I've heard the Hawthorne kid has had to deal with injuries quite a bit and I've heard the McMahon kid it pretty solid. I would just have to question both of them at the Varsity level. I thought they had at least a couple other lefties and a few more righties to come in for mop up duties that actually played last year.
  7. I had gotten word that Dunn, the pitching coach from Cooper was released recently. Do you think that's the reason he was let go?
  8. There are some very good pitchers in this area. I just don't know if anyone has the pitching staff Cooper has this year. Collins, Dunn, Smith and Lawhorn are 4 very strong starters. 2 Righties and 2 Lefties and then they have some pretty decent releivers also. Maybe I'm missing a team, but I just don't know of any that can go that deep in quality starters. Scary thing is out of the 4 only 1 is a senior.
  9. Don't know if he's a senior or junior though. I have heard he's related to Huff, the head coach.
  10. I've seen him and he appears to be pretty solid.
  11. Great Kid and Pitcher...........DID NOT play for Midland this summer. Played for Bluegrass.
  12. Kuebbing (St. Henry), Ganns (Boone Co.) and Dunn (Cooper) all threw the ball very well. The other highest speed of the day was 84 from 4 kids which Kuebbing was one of the 4.
  13. I heard bullpen also. He was only in 1 showcase that I know to date and he was 85-86 without a top out speed listed. I do know that he played injured all summer and even in that showcase he was injured.
  14. I agree with getting out and seeing Cain. Maines, Hoard and Brown are the other Seniors which I feel IMO are not as good as the Juniors I mentioned. With Dunn being the only Junior you mentioned, the fastball is up there, but his breaking ball is sick. You must not be aware of it, so he would be much harder to hit, even to a good hitter.
  15. GURU, with knowing both guys I don't know if that would be a true statement. Both are are a little on the head strong side. I'm sure if that was the case for Mullins, it would be true for Meyerhoff also.
  16. I think Cooper might end up being a little higher than shown, but we will have to see. They lost 2 starters from last years team and return all their pitching. Should be an interesting season.
  17. Out of the kids I have seen Pitch these would be my tops, not discounting the ones I didn't see. Don't want to get anything started. Brown - Lloyd (Senior, has strong arm and good command) Suchanek - Beechwood (Junior, very strong arm and good command) Maines - Conner (Senior, has strong arm and good command) Ganns - Boone (Junior, very strong arm and but needs some work on a breaking ball) Dunn - Cooper (Junior, very strong arm, very good breaking stuff, needs to attack zone more) Hoard - Ryle (Senior, strong arm, with very good breaking stuff) The Juniors out of this list I would say have the strongest arms overall and with think they would be close to mid 80's consistantly. Top outs for them would be 86-87. Dunn has topped out as high as 90. I would say the Seniors listed would be close to mid 80's also, just don't know if they have the arms the Juniors listed do. I need to get out more to see some of these other kids Cain and Tiberi. Please remember these are just opinions base off what I have seen of these particular kids.
  18. I should have been more specific. I was looking for the Summer teams in this area.
  19. I was just wanting to find out who are some of the Northern KY Baseball Teams in this area? Who are some of the players on these teams to watch?
  20. Are you saying the Bellew kid is better than Hoard? If so, why wasn't he up with the big boys this year? Just wondering!
  21. All In.......I would say you are right on with this kids size. No Way is he 6'9.
  22. Not going to take anything away from Ryle, Congrats! But, if watch this pitch on IHIGH it should have been ball 4. This view is from right behind the plate also.
  23. Yes he did! I really thought this would be the year for them to get over the hump/curse or whatever you want to call it. WOW!!!
  24. What's surprising was that the pitch right before that, Ryle's runner had a chance to take 3rd then. For whatever reason Conner stuck with the same coverage on the following pitch and Ryle took what was given to them.
