Is the list complete? I've read thru it about 3 times and I see no info on Carroll County, Owen County, Gallatin County, Henry County, etc, etc, etc. I've seen these articles and didn't realize they were the actual previews. The format is much different from past years.

Coaching turnover and administrative support has definitely been a problem at ER. EC's football success ran in cycles. I graduated in 1979 and played for the great Jack Hall. EC was ranked #1 in 1980 at one point but some mid-season injuries hurt them and they fell back. Miss my old high school and visit back there as often as I can.

Obviously 50 is too many. I'm sure since he was so close Coach Leep thought it would be a decent gesture to one of his former players. Nothing more, nothing less.

He didn't need this to "define" him. It was a wonderful gesture by his former coach to express respect to a fine, hard working young man, giving a minute of gametime back to a young man whose career is more than likely over. I'm sure he'll never forget it. KUDO's to Coach Leep and congrats to Dallas on your 1000th point.

If he hasn't improved over last year, he's a non-factor. Lazy. Doesn't rebound. Looks to dunk every time down the floor. Shane Hall made him look like a little leaguer in the regional final last year. Hope only the best for the kid but he needs a coach who can make him play to his potential.

Very well said...but the teams that step up are few and far between. One of the schools that comes to mind that is usually knocking on the door is Beechwood. They should be listed as an annual threat. The Warren County schools, Fort Campbell, Belfry, Bell County, etc, are the exceptions. But its usually these schools that take home the hardware and I would just like to know what gives them the edge, year in and year out. Other schools, like our local high school, work extremely hard throughout the year and occasionally a 2 week venture into the playoffs occurs, but it just amazes me how these small communities like Mayfield, Belfry, and other areas such as these repeatedly compete for all the marbles.

WOW!!! Chill out just making a point that every year it seems to be the same old teams....so glad your son got there. Not a knock on the teams that got there just a comment on the fact that the winners seem to be the same every year

So far we have 1A Mayfield, 2A NCC, 3A Central, 4A Highlands, 5A Bowling Green and my money is on Trinity in 6A. This is getting boring. Can some other teams step up in 2013 and break this chain. Come on Carroll County. Shock the world in 2013.:scared:
